Talent wise mayer is legit! Bowers is legit! It will be fine.
Although technically a TE he lined up 40% of his snaps in the slot and 11% from out wide. He was also used several times quite successfully as a RB with sweeps. Dude can do it all and is dynamite in the redzone. We didn't reach and got a certified stud, every mock draft had him going in the top 10. There is definitely room to be critical considering our other needs but the Nation needs to chill out a bit

Fuaga has short arms (33.25) and struggles to recover, and keep defenders off of him. Fuaga does have good pass protection technique but it is unclear if he best suited for guard or tackle because of physical limitations.
Bowers was the highest rated TE in the PFF era. Bowers really has no glaring weakness. He can down block, line up in the slot or go outside. Bowers was the correct pick.

With these Two TE's and their two starting WR, that formation is both a strong run and pass offensive formation that will be a miss-match nightmare. Do you keep the DBs on the field to stop the pass or keep the LBs to stop the run?

I know there was a perspective of “Tight Ends dont matter” but in the last SuperBowl the Niners and Chiefs had the top 2 Tight Ends in the league so maybe its more important in this era of the NFL than people realize or acknowledge.

We are building this teams for three years down the road. Bowers is a very good football player and is a mismatch nightmare for defenses. This roster needs to get better and Bowers does that.

If we had the first 4 picks in this draft and drafted the top Qb, top OT, top CB, top Wr in this draft we would not win now. This team is not in good shape for the next couple of years. Half our starters on defense are free agents next year. Get used to losing because this team is not going to win this year. A much as fans and the pundits think this team is built to win, it isn't. Vegas has the over/under at 6 1/2 wins. Thats a bottom 10 team in the league. Nine team are at 6.5 or less. Carolina, NE and Denver are at 5.5 wins. Minn, Giants, wash, ten, zona are at 6.5. The Raiders got one of the best offensive players available at 13, now they need to fill Oline holes. I give the BB pick a solid B, it's not so much of a need but BB has the skills to be one of the best TE.
Time will tell! I’m not disappointed that we didn’t grab a questionable QB outside the top three but I really thought OT would have been better??….. But not mad but we’ll see on Sunday when this is all done……this new TE will definitely diversify our offense and make most defenses struggle!!….give it a B+ grade. Still hoping for at least an OT, DB and maybe a RB……. Though I think he’ll be gone early tomorrow, I hope they can draft Rattler or a nothing rookie they can let learn and develop with AOC and Minshew!

Well I started off DISCUSSTED! But the more I let the pick settle in the more I am coming around to it. So far lets just say I am not impressed with T. Telesco. Now I am in the mode of "YOU BETTER NOT F THIS UP the rest of the way!!

This was a weird draft.. All offense got picked.. Its screwed it up for the Raiders when Atlanta took penix.. They QB/ Cock blocked us.. He's going to be a red zone stud.. Not really disappointing.. Was just a big surprise the way it fell.

It’s sad that many so-called fans don’t understand the concept of BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE. All the draft experts and commentators had this guy going between pick 5 and 10. You want to draft for “need”? How has that worked out for us over the last decade? We can fill holes with day one starters in rounds 2 and 3. But an elite prospect like bowers will not be available on day 2 of the draft.
