- The Akrapovic slip on exhaust for the BMW F700GS and F800GS is an excellent performance exhaust if you like silence, and dislike having money.
In this video I'll show you how to remove the stock BMW F700GS / F800GS exhaust, how to install the Akrapovic slip on exhaust, take it for a test ride, a sound test versus stock at various RPM, and even compare it to a Leo Vince exhaust on a G650GS.
The exhaust suffers from what is known as quiet Euro-4 compliant muffler syndrome. The tone is deeper than stock, but not necessarily any louder. The baffles aren't removable without taking apart the entire exhaust. You'll get a marginal, unnoticeable performance boost. You'll gain 1.3 hp and 1 Nm of torque, and you'll lose 1.5 lbs vs the stock exhaust.
Overall there are better ways to spend $1,000 in my opinion.

Gotta take out the baffles dude!! I took it to a machine shop and they did it in 15 mins. So worth it and a massive difference!!
Awesome! I went with a MIVV exhaust pipe instead. It's one bolt. When I go cross country touring and want a quiet exhaust I can easily put it in myself, and easily take it out myself when I get back home
Thanks for taking the time to make the video dude. The Akra looks awesome but seems a little disappointing for the sound. I leave in Mexico and I need something louder than the stock one for vehicle to hear me. It’s a security add-on here 😅
Here in Toronto as well. In the country is not necessary but in downtown it helps

Yeah the 650 sounds way better. What a bummer the Akro is. Thanks for sharing this. I’ve always been Leary of the Akro’s do to the lack of sound on videos.
Thanks man. I know others will have different tastes but... that's a lot of money to spend for something that isn't really $1000 better than stock in my opinion

I briefly considered getting this but 1000€ for a stock exhaust with Akrapovic written on it seemed a little much, so I got the fake Chinese one for 100€ instead 😂

Why you replace f650, is it not good bike?

That G650gs sounded like trash to me. Like a dirt bike. I have the Akrapovic on my F750GS and like it.
Are your baffles sealed in there too? Bigger motor on the F750GS might give it better base and maybe Akra learned something since making this one for the F700GS/F800GS.

take the db killer out, it easy to slide three points on it
It's riveted shut then welded in place. There's another video showing the work involved.
@@YouMotorcycle don't touch the rivet, you can remove welding through grinding 3 tip of exhaust and dbkiller and pull it out, i done it before and it work well
