What should I do if I suspect IBS and different food intolerances or even gut problems? What tests should I ask my doctor to run or what tests would help me to figure out what’s going on with my digestive system?
Hi Morgan, this is a very complex question! In fact, I wrote a whole book about it (which you can find here: amzn.to/445LPyn) but the short answer is the best testing I suggest is a SIBO test, possibly a GI MAP stool test, and if you have diarrhea, an IBSSmart test. Advice about what you should do about that depends on the specifics of your case, and what you already know about what makes your symptoms better or worse. I know that's a short answer, but I spend months helping clients work through this in my online program!
I had the E-95 Basic Food Panel done 3 years ago and didn't feel it was any help. I already knew dairy was not agreeable with me but the other results stating I was highly sensitive to were foods that I didn't find bothersome and had been eating regularly...such as green beans and eggs.
Hi FUn Day, this generally can indicate that something is very irritated in your colon, or it can also be a sign of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. This is a symptom to disucss with your doctor or other health care provider to make sure you don't have a more significant problem. Thanks for watching!
Hi Dhami, with all normal tests and ongoing symptoms, this is usually categorized by doctors as IBS. THere can be several reasons for these symptoms that aren't visible on ordinary lab tests. Have you been tested for SIBO or done stool testing? Also, specific foods could be a problem, just the food sensitivity test isn't always helpful. Have you changed anything about your diet?

Yes, this is exactly the problem. The tests often don't correlate with what is triggering symptoms. Thanks for sharing your experience!
