The main thing that got more and more people playing the game is the licensed cars. I’ve seen many other good games like Greenville, Realistic Driving, etc. but the graphics and the brand licensing are the two most important decisions that Voldex made that put itself on top.
About the chassis thing, i think some cars in the game have different chassis. For example, compare the Jesko chassis to idk the new Audis, you’ll notice how different they feel

For now is after for 2023 with removals now in 2024 CDT remodelled some of the cars into fake models like Ferrari Bugatti Koenigsegg and Hennessey cuz they don’t even look real and that makes a lot of CDT kids and fans really hates it and quits and left the game.
I quit playing CDT mainly because the cars didn't sound realistic. I recently went to see how expensive their license cars were and as soon as I saw that they were robust, i completely gave up on the game
its still is kind of a dead game, most of the og players quit and the current player count is diluted with new players and bots. Servers are full but empty at the same time
The game is simply unplayable its only good features are decent models and licensed card. Game is still unoptimized yet they only pump more cars every update
