Omg! This guy is so funny without trying to be! Haha! So hilarious. This is how I feel after having my breville for years! I just have my husband make it now. 😂
Yeah its a hard machine to learn. Thanks for watching!!!
Thought the same and saw that I’m not alone :) thank you for the video!!!
I agree it is hard to get that filter out
Yep
This video has all the steps I want to see. Thank you a lot. I was so nervous about first time using it
You are so welcome!
Sorry man, you didn’t read the book first! Making all kind of mistakes
interesting i just got my machine today and the water won’t run through the machine to flush it for the first time
Did you figure it out? I just got one (not my first (BE) and it won't flow at all.
Dude its a push button ,,if you want to stop grinding push to stop ,or push to start ,,push on push off ,,same for the other buttons ,also grind amount makes no sense ,just do it manually
Just a quick tip! You do have to lock it all the way to create the pressure. I made that mistake when I first started my coffee training. Also if water ends up floating on top of the puck when you take it out that means that you need to grind the coffee beans more coarse. Hope this helps :)
Great tip! Thanks so much for sharing this great information!!!!
My friend just got this machine about 3 months ago and loves it! P. S. What do you do with all of the coffee makers you buy and make videos on? Lol
Thanks for watching, I was giving some away to salvation army but now I am keeping them. I hope someday soon to be doing live streams on Amazon, So I will need them for that.
@@JustADad That would be awesome!
To pop the filter out of the portafilter, Insert the ledge of the spare basket under the rim of the basket you want to remove. You can do this from either side of the portafilter.
Twist the spare basket slightly🎉
Just some advice you started using the single wall basket and should have started with the double wall basket which is pressurized. The double wall is for beginners and makes for easy practice if you are using coffee that is not freshly roasted such as the Starbucks beans you were using. Once you master the dosing you then move up to a single wall basket essentially seems like you tried running before you could walk lol. Otherwise keep at it.
You have upgraded from Mr Coffee. Congrats. I will have to stay with my Mr Coffee Machine for a while since I just bought it.
Yeah I am starting to purchase items and just review them. The mr Coffee is a great machine.
What is your favorite Drink you make with it?
Also the pressure doesn’t work with the single wall filter it came with. So little pressure way below the sweet spot. When I put in the double wall filter is worked. Well it brand new and I want all the filters to work. What could be wrong?
Thank you for this! I’m less nervous about it setting it up after watching :)
You can do it! Have fun and if you make a mess its ok!!! You Got this!!!!
My shots are just exploding all over and pressure gauge doesn’t even seem to be working got a faulty one
You need longer finger nails lol. Yikes to remove the filter without any nails.
Thanks for Watching
Thank you for doing this video it did help quite a bit
Is water suppose to go in the tray with every shot?I just got my machine and every shot water in the try.
You have to take something Sharp like a knife to get out. The pease
Mine just arrived today! Watching your video very helpful thanks for sharing!👍👍
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video. I was trying to setup a new machine and the instructions mentioned a stainless steel mesh filter inside the plastic filter holder but I didn't have such a filter in my pack. Looks like that instruction is for a previous model and the current one does not have the stainless steel mesh filter as part of the plastic filter holder. I was relieved when I saw that your filter holder too didn't have this stainless steel mesh. I will call Reveille tomorrow to ask them to update their instruction book.
Thanks for Sharing!!!
@@JustADad I just got off the phone with Breville Australia and they confirmed that they have not had a chance to update their Instruction Book regarding the stainless steel mesh being no longer used. They also confirmed that only charcoal filters are used in the Australian machines (though charcoal and resin filters are available for the US machines) and it is safe to use the charcoal filters without the stainless steel mesh.
@@RonaldLeslie Thanks for you hard work
I missed this machine 😢 😭 🥰
I played with it for about 3 hours yesterday, I am learning alot and will be doing a video soon.
Thanks for sharing!
I miss this machine on your channel ♥️
Sorry, I will be getting back to it.
@@JustADad ok
Thank for this video.. It helped me a lot to start with the breville.
Great to hear!
Hi, I just bought this machine. Do I have to descale it before I use it for the first time?
No need
@@JustADad thank you!
I began with their recommended settings. My first two 2oz shots extracted the same as yours. I moved the grind size to 4 for finer, turned the grind volume up a bit and tamped firmer. Not into the optimal zone yet but moving in the right direction. Achieved a firm puck anyway!
Just a thought but you could pre-heat your portafilter and cup at the same time and without splashing water everywhere. Just install the portafilter into the machine, where you would to make an espresso, then set the machine going with either a single or double water shot and catch the water with the cup.
Great video nice to see another beginner making mistakes etc, bit boring looking at confusing experts all the time, thank you for being there I just go mine yesterday and boy it’s not easy fine tuning things. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi, can this machine connect to filtered water line?
I can't believe you this machine 💙😁🥳
Yeah I went ahead and got it. It is very popular and I want to learn it from the perspective of never having a machine like this. I have so much to learn!!
@@JustADad yea it
Great Job!
Thank you! Cheers!
THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome!
Yayy
Great!!!
I have been exploring some recent second hand purchases of espresso machines and picked up a Breville BES820XL (believe it uses a thermal heat block) and a Breville BarVista which unexpectedly actually uses a thermal heat coil! What does your Breville use? Perhaps I will Frankenstein my BES820XL with a thermal heat coil 😎
wow, that is some detail. I need to look into this, I am not up to speed on the heating elements, sorry about that.
@@JustADad I have been hearing about lack of consistency in heat with thermal heat block vs thermal heat coil. Which can alter the end result. On the Breville BES820XL I am missing the internal tool storage box and both the single/double shot single wall filters. My experimentation will be limited until I find parts! Happy brewing :-)
@@SudburyMan Thanks again, I love to learn what others know about Espresso and you defiantly know a lot!!
Nice a new video!
More to come! Thanks so much for your Continued support!!!!
