    Anyone reading this thats on the fence, do it. I too put the bushed ones in first and im buying these now. My originals were clapped out and the new ones squeak NON STOP. Theyre not even uerethane, they stock replacement rubber, but ive heard the uerethane ones squeak also. Save yourself the hassle and buy the roller perches.

      What other products have you put on? I've done the idler arm and spring perches on my Xy, haven't driven it yet, I'm putting it back together

      @@peterbroumaziotis5072 I've got the lower arm kit with the brace, screw in balljoint and spherical bearing on the pivot. I've also got the heim joint strut rods and Global West upper control arms. Shari and John are great people to deal with, they've got great gear at Opentracker.👍

    I bought these roller perches for my Ford Falcon's new uninstalled tubular a arms. Playing with these parts on the table I found out that the perches have a short side and a very slightly longer side that would catch on the a arm if put in wrong side out...so beware. Maybe this was the popping u heard?

    • @mechtrician1
      @mechtrician1  2 года назад +1

      Yes, they definitely have a correct orientation, but the popping on the old perches was definitely the poly bushings. The original rubber is much more compliant and would twist. The poly acts more like a bushing and the shaft rotates in them. The friction is just too much with the poly and they pop.

    Did you notice any harshness and or additional road noise coming with the steel bearings compared to the rubber/ urethane bushings.

    • @mechtrician1
      @mechtrician1  Год назад

      Nope. No difference. Just smoother.
