Spencer Strider is an absolute ace, the kid is phenomenal on the mound. The Braves really lucked out with him. He was sensational last season and he looks like he’s carried that form into this season. He’s still only 24 too, the same age as stars like Soto, Tatis and Vlad. He has a bright future, I think a blind man could see that. That isn’t to take anything away from Chris Bassitt though.

I looked at the Bluejays ump scorecards over a 10 game stretch from April 29 - May 9. They were "favored" by the umps in 2 of them. 8/10 games, the other team had a positive run differential. This game, the Jays had a positive run differential of .27. They scored runs in the 5th 7th and 8th. The Braves scored nothing. The umpire truly had no effect on the outcome of this game whatsoever if you consider the fact that they scored 2 more runs after the 5th. It would have been 2-0 in the end...

BTW, I always see a lot of folks complaining about the wait times for highlights. But it's not like the NFL where they're just using the telecast announcers, and cutting up the telecast visuals. They're doing the cut-ups with multiple radio broadcasts in addition to putting their own stock score graphic cards and info just for the RUclips highlights. I can see why the process takes a lot longer.

The Rogers Centre is one of the toughest ballparks to play in, and that’s exactly what happened to the Atlanta Braves last night upon arrival in Toronto. Not only did they lost, but the Braves went cold in a 3-0 shutout.
At first, the Braves thought they could get their bats fired up and start a new winning streak in a different country like Canada. But the Blue Jays made them pay for underestimating the people of Toronto by scoring a total of three runs throughout the entire game, and the Atlanta Braves have only themselves to blame for letting their overconfidence get the better of them. That’s the reason they’ve lost round one.
Atlanta’s lead in the NL East has gone down a bit to six games ahead of the Phillies. But the Dodgers are knocking on the Braves front door, threatening to take the title for best record in the National League. The second round would begin this afternoon, and the Braves would have to find a way to get back at the Blue Jays. Can the Atlanta Braves figure out a way to get a win to even the series, or will their overconfidence get the best of them once again? And can the Blue Jays use Atlanta’s mistakes to their advantage?
Tune in this afternoon and find out to see if the Braves can avoid another shutout and get a win on Canadian soil from the Rogers Centre in Toronto!
BRAVES (25-13) VS. BLUE JAYS (22-16)

I wouldn’t worry about the ARTFUL DODGERS they have the same scenario every season for the past seven years. Win a lot of games during the season and then turn into a pitiful playoff team that couldn’t win if they tried . Their postseason record speaks for itself.
