I attended an information session at one of the public agencies with the intention to adopt a child that’s available for adoption. The host told us that we have to foster first and that there is no option for to only adopt. We were shocked and confused. We wouldn’t have wasted time attending the meeting if that was the case.
We went with our local Tx state agency. We told him we want straight adoption he agreed and accepted us. We got licensed so 6 m9nths after he's saying it might be best for us to foster, we refused that, we told him again 4 2nd time that we want straight adoption. He wasn't happy after we told him that. Then 4 months after he emailed us and said we are dropping u guys for the fact that we don't want to foster WTF. So here we are redoing the whole thing s8nce our licensed had expired due to them dropping us. We're straggling finding a straight adoption due to s9me issues. So we're researching consultant and if they don't work we're gonna opt for b8g agency in less than 2 months....
We've tried local agency in tx, we got licensed and all, come to find out they won't let us du3 to divorces issue. We wasted 2yrs. We've called other local agencies to see 8f they'll accept us but they all turned us down. We did everything we can to find agencies but no luck. So we're thinking either consultant or big agencies.
Wow. This really did not get very many views. I have found mixed advice on this. I thought you weren’t supposed to do that at first, but there are people who will insist that you do so.

Doing foster takes forever and u don't know if you gonna get that kid or not since we get too attached too easily, that why i don't like it
