This video was so great. We are adopting an 11 year old from Oklahoma (we are in Idaho), and the time it takes is soooooo lonnngggg...I can see how people get frustrated and quit. But the Lord put him in our heart and the journey and this young man is worth it all. We went the route of getting licensed through the state, we do fostering as we wade through the bureaucracy of the adoption and ICPC as well as ICWA (yes, we got a triple whammy!). I love that you brought up siblings. Our young man has a younger sibling and this brother is super important to 'our' boy..and if he's important to our boy, then he is important to us. When "our" boy becomes a part of our family, his brother will too and we are hoping to develop a great relationship with the brothers adopted family. Thank you again for all that you do.
If there is a way to speed up ICPC, would love to hear it :)

This was really good and confirmed what we have heard in our foster training class. We got licensed to foster and adopt in the state of Iowa last year, and we have done respite several times since we got licensed. We haven’t had a long-term placement yet.

Hey! Thanks for watching. It's so great that you want to adopt internationally! I do have another video on that already but plan on doing another one soon. What country do you want to adopt from?

Can you agree to only take kids in your home that are already ready to be fostered to adopt? Thank you!

That’s a fantastic question! And very important. There are at least 10 other important questions to ask related to that and they’re all covered in my course and on my coaching calls. You would also get access to asking me anything that comes up in the moment like right now :) Would you be interested in finding out more?

@@Lucrecebundy yes but I'd also appreciate an answer to that question here before I invest in a program. Thank you

I think a foster kid would b more upset bout losing their bio family rather than a court appointed social worker or casa
