This video is excellent with so many important details on Morote Seoi Nage.
I wish I watched this video 5 years ago when I started Judo, it would saved me so much times on trial-and-error! Even now I still learnt many things from this video
Thanks Judo Video Library to upload this!
And much /respect to Hatsuyuki Hamada sensei to teach us his knowledge!

+Yang Lee trial and error is the best way to learn judo. Some basic geometry really helped me understand a lot.

"and you try" with a big smile, I would have loved to be there. Great stuff. I totally get his low stance and I'm amazed I didn't figure that one out for myself. :-)

I wonder why Tsurite (Lifting hand) hand's elbow is placed under uke's elbow, instead of under uke's armpit like some other videos suggested. Is it because that way your elbow will be safer and the power will be stronger??

when I teach judo 7 years ago I explained that : isn’t important win you must fight did a Waza you didn’t be proud about a Koka (more time ago in the judo we had koka yuko wazari and ippon and 30 sec for osei-Komi ippon) Your target was the ippon always playing judo and not defense and take less shido than the opponents, the other master said : i you win you always take reason ? I don’t like this point - I think judo is judo not ju-sport! This explanation was amazing and teach the right making of kuzushi and tsukuri on te-waza : no strength but mind and waza in the right sense, I love it!
