I think Sandy may have missed his vocation. Top job with the media. It is very difficult in these situations to get heard and get an answer. Keep it up, we are all supporting you all.

I agree but don't think he has missed it yet. James is going to have to dig deep in the budget at the next employee performance review to stop the presumable endless media offers tempting him away!

Another great video James, well done to Kieran he did a fantastic job . I am 100% behind you guys & the whole farming community, we must all stand together against this tax.

    • @barlow2976
      @barlow2976 Месяц назад +1

The tax only affects the rich landowners, the guys who would sell you down the river, then acquire the land. I would like to see big estates broken up, so more land is available for young people. You have to distinguish between people like Clarkson (not a farmer, just a businessman) and family owned farms which dominate here in Wales. They are selling a lie, just as they have done by claiming they are custodians of the countryside. Clarkson admits he bought his farm just so he could have a pheasant shoot, and all the environmental damage that goes along with that.
End of the day it's just a few very wealthy people who are alarmed that they will have to be paying tax, Clarkson included.

I also have to mention the talk You did later, how inspiring, I,ve mentioned this to several friends, required viewing!
A few more enterprising people like You and this Country would be better off, I was there in London, what a spectacle , very emotional really.
Social media has come of age at right moment, and people like yourself. Wardy, Clive Bailye, Olly Harrison,Martin Williams and James Mills are thankfully the right people in place to lead us.

Great job James. I was on the Business Growth and Development course at Cranfield in 1995 and the first farmer to be so. You're right, no matter what the business, we all have the same problems and challenges, just in a different format. The Belfast Nuffield conference was a resounding success, and the three Next-Generation Young Nuffielders were an absolute credit to the industry and to Nuffield. The future is in good hands with these people. Excellent speech at the Farmer's Club.

Thank you for emphasising the respectful way in which this event took place, the collection and passing of food into London’s food banks was inspirational; the need to take our garbage home with us is bang on message. I flew back into the UK yesterday and travelled through Waterloo train station and met with some young farmers and shook their hand for representing their communities - true ambassadors.
PF Farming is a real team with an impressive leader. The NEXTGEN conversation with AF was fantastic to see. I think the camera operator had enjoyed too much cider…

RUclips is producing some serious ambassadors for agriculture at the moment and Tuesday’s rally and its organizers has brought this into real focus. Well done James and your team. Is there no end to the talent there with Sandy now presenting as well. Re the videos, travel the country and promote all corners of the business. Your recent post with Terry was as engaging as any seasonal highlights such as harvest. Re the young farmers, I have no doubts that they look to you for inspiration and rightly so. I’m building a agri-drone business that will find its place in assisting the industry and is another area that I hope will inspire, engage and that I hope I can pass on to the up and coming generation. I personally have no land to inherit, as my father was a farm manager, but I attended yesterday, because as you pointed out, certain events in life hold such weight we must support them. As you’ve also pointed out, the next steps need to be careful and considered. Keep Britain Farming.

Oh James. Possibly the best output you've done, and that's saying something. I'm from a farming background myself and would love to spend a harvest/tillage season with you on your fabolous farm. Problem is, I'm seventy one years of age. I could do it, but you might have reservations 😂😂Joking aside, the lad that did the interviews and filming at the beginning was professional and just hit the spot. He could have an alternative career in the media no doubt about it. Hopefully, he'll stay in farming. Your talk at the end just nailed it for me. I can't say anymore really. I was going to say please keep up the good fight, but I don't think that cuts it. I think you and the rest of the farming community in ALL it's diversity needs to emphasise how diverse and important it is to this nation, which you all are. Clarkson has helped fantastically with this, purely by accident. I'll forever remember his quote some two or three years ago to the effect that the "government in the thirties thought that we could quite happily get by on importing food and local production didin't matter. Worked very well untill the U boats turned up". We are approaching that same scenario now, either from war or climate.

Another great video James and I really enjoyed listening to your interesting talk a great insight into the farming industry you are right farming never had a good image in the past with the general public however Jerremy Clarkson being a known figure in the media has perhaps made people listen and learn more about farming which in 2024 is a much more of a tech industry than in years gone by.
James you are such a fantastic enbasidor for the farming industry and your videos are playing a huge part in getting the message of modern farmimng into people's homes so I do hope you keep making them and your daughter should be proud to be part of a family farm like yours which in time as she grows up I am sure she will be.
Hopefully in the new year when the shed of dreams in complex you can get a farm open day organised which I myself would try and get to and meet you and cousin Michael and all of your brilliant team of workers, thank you once again for another fantastic video and not to forget the guy behind the camera, well done Tom.

Brilliant video, James. You are a great public speaker. I wanted to train in agriculture when I left school, having worked on a farm part-time for four years. My father said i had to get a proper job in engineering, which I did do, hated every minute. Now retired. Cheers and good wishes.

Keep up the good work. Totally agree regards the BPR issue affecting wider family businesses. They do however have a level of control over the product they sell and thus have an opportunity to mitigate the BPR bill. Most farmers have little to zero control over the product they sell at the farm gate / market.

Blimey, you only made it to Royston McDonald’s 😂😂
You speak very well James, humour keeps people engaged and the way you explain things is great, ears prick up and you find yourself actually learning something about the farmers plight! I’m sure 99% of the uk are right behind you all 👍🏻
