I had to pause and say, I miss bh cosmetics so much😢 I used to look forward to ordering from them every month when they had the birthstone collection, $5 and amazing quality and I got to order other amazing palettes and products every month for reasonable prices!!!❤ It's so sad how expensive makeup has gotten in just a few years. Also, so sad that Makeup Revolution got their crappy claws on bh, and now it's just a memory. I can't let go of any more of my bh palettes because I don't think we will get them back. ❤

I won't declutter my bh either. They were such a great affordable brand. The stuff that's come out now is subpar at best
It is really sad to see influencers declutter their BH palettes that they used to rave about, only to make room for new things that a triple or quadruple the price.
Just wanted to say that your setup is fantastic. The lighting was really good and your overhead was just perfect. It helps to be able to see the true colors of the palettes on a neutral background - for vicarious viewing pleasure and for browsing for one's perfect palette online.
lol i also panic-bought bh cosmetics (even color stories i was not that excited about) at marshalls and tjmaxx when i feared that i couldn't get them anymore 😂 this video was a good and long one! such a variety in types of color stories and brands. i totally relate to being attached to certain palettes just for the memories. would love to see some videos with the palettes that you were thinking of pulling out again!
I also don't blame you for holding on to your palettes "just one more year" because it always sucks to declutter and then regret it. Who cares if you have 1000 palettes, they are yours. ❤
P.S. Unearthly Cosmetics is definitely my #1 Indie Brand and started my real obsession w/eyeshadow palettes! The color stories spark a fun creative side I didn't know I had in me!❤

I absolutely love the ABH Carli Bybel palette. Its hugely underated and more versitile than it initially looks. The colors Libra and Jode are so unique on their own and transformative when layered over other colors. This palette did not get the hype it deserved and i think too many outright overlooked it. I have a backup and its still a favorite of mine. I think its wonderful that you purchased it and tried it; thank you!

I really enjoyed this and thank you for your hard work. I have a new wants list now. I will say I’ve gone off the cartoon character and tv show themed stuff. I am definitely going for an Oden’s Eye holiday palette this year. I bought the Cosmic Brush Winter Wonderland palette this month since I’m in the UK for the summer. It is very nice, great packaging and service.

Lila was my first ND palette too! I had a Sephora gift card and the palette was 20% off and I felt so fancy buying an expensive palette. 😂
Broke my heart a little to hear you say you're decluttering At Forest Sight - obviously everyone has their own tastes but I used it today and was just thinking to myself how much I wish I had purchased a back up when it was around because I sometimes fear using it because once it's gone it's gone and I love it so much lol. That said, if you're not using it, it's good to pass it on and I hope wherever it ends up it's loved. It is definitely difficult to get good use out of a palette when there's so many in your collection. I've got just under 30 palettes and it can be hard!

I am now living vicariously through this! I woke up with swollen eye lids and inflamed undereye wrinkles lol, too much eyeshadow & masking. Lol sober from alcohol January is no problem, I'll just forget to go out lol, but sober from makeup?!?! Ive had 3 big flareups in 45 days tho, i need a skincare reset & might as well take advantage of work being closed to the public (im in PR 😭 i never should have messed around with all that glitter)...
Mini Lila was my first ND palette as well (second being mini tropic). And I loved it for a long time, until Indie palettes became my obsession. Just recently got my first ND midi and I'm back in love with ND!
Fantaastic showcase. It's so inspirational. I have 45 palettes. My collection is small and I don't declutter but I love to pull everything out and appreciate each one. I love how you really take the time to share your memories of each palette.

I own the ND Xenon palette and in person I see 1 very soft pink shimmer in the upper left, a definite pink middle right. A light shimmer beige, matte beige and shimmer champagne on the bottom right and a deep navy blue shimmer in the middle left. All the rest are shades of white, gray and black.
If you haven’t tossed the broken colourpop zodiac quad yet you may want to hold up for just a teensy bit. You know how there’ll be a pressed glitter in some of the CP palettes? And you don’t like them either.
Well pull out the offensive glitter pans ( with a magnet) and scrape out the useless mess to the trash . Clean the pan with soap & water and then a spritz of alcohol . Instead of a typical repress into pan simply push the empty directly into the quad square. Then use a thin tool ( new orange stick, sanitized metal file to pry the round out. I’ve seen some ND limited quints (Aeris and Joya) have this done to keep some of the desired shades before reselling on Poshmark or Mercari or EBay.
Most of the quad is neutral so you could likely place the colors into palettes . Alternatively , you may have a planned obsolescence for when the other quads eventually break down.
Girl if you like those Juvias place palettes you gotta try the Candy Shop and Coffee Shop. They are my favorites. The duochrome in the candy shop on the top left in particular is stunning! I get compliments every time I wear it.
What an undertaking! I also have A LOT of eye palettes --- they are my jam! I want to thank you for recommending several indie brands that I ordered this year. Nomad and Oden's Eye, and just placed an order for all three What's Up palettes which are on sale as a bundle. I can't wait to try that formula! Happy New Year!

100% agree! I hate the old formula and packaging was awful to me, especially when it got dirty. I always thought they were overrated and never bought any of their palettes. Once they reformulated and I swatched it in person, I've instantly bought each and everyone that has come out so far. Looks more sleek and shadow size is bigger and a dream to pick up and blend ❤❤❤
I would love for you to try more Sydney Grace I'm getting interested in them I bought a little pallet that was on sale and it has quickly become my go to for when I'm out of time and running out the door

I’m getting the Nomad travel palette and the Fantasy Cosmetica Bard palette. I would love dozens of others, but as much as I don’t want to be, I must be reasonable.
I've watched this in parts because sometimes I need makeup, sometimes true crime, sometime music, my attention/sleep disorder decides for me. I'm on the Unearthly cosmetics portions right now. And sometimes I just can't get over how great they are. The mattes have always been spectacular. And I've been vocal about the shipping in the past while also expressing I understand the limited staff. And now with how amazing the shimmers are....and how quick in stock palettes ship. They're dangerous. Like goodbye ColourPop.... Oden's Eye and Unearthly Cosmetics are my babes now. My bank account is like girl. Pls stop.

I don't know how you can give them up, but i commend you for it.
Colourpop to me, is hard to part with. Most are nice, and so inexpensive. I just gave one to Lindsay, because I thought it would suit her eyecolor better.

I would say gourmande girls are usually more textured and piecey and WW are more smooth but def still shiny… I do prefer WW shimmers overall!!!

BH Blueberry Muffin is one palette I kind of regret not getting, and I had the chance to buy it for $8. I opted for Bubble Gum instead and just didn't use it much and passed it on to my nieces along with the other Sweet Shoppes I bought recently. But Blueberry Muffin has some of those blue purple and periwinkle shades that I am kind of into right now, but I am a dope. What do you do? Nice collection and declutter!
Do you know that the pans in many of those palettes are magnetic and made to pop out? It’s so when you declutter you can save just the colors you like and toss or donate the rest. You just have to pick up a magnetic eyeshadow case (or several). I went all out though and got a full size trifold one on Amazon a couple years ago that holds even thicker pans like powder foundations and blush pans and even has enough space for some travel tools (like eyeshadow brushes and the flat blush brushes and sponges that come in some compacts). I even got some magnetic metal eyeshadow stickers to stick on the backs of makeup pans that weren’t magnetic but that I managed to pry out anyway. And a couple of those high quality Makeup Forever magnetic cases for my most used pans so they would fit in my purse for touch ups. Just wanted to let you know cuz creating your own palette out of several old ones can be just as fun and satisfying as shopping for new ones! If you want to keep track of what pan came from what palette, you could use little circle label stickers on the underside of the pans with numbers that correspond to a master key code. I didn’t do that but I might have if I wanted to be able to reference individual colors for RUclips viewers.
Also this saves your pans from drying out or being ruined due to busted cases.
And I assume you know the amazing alcohol trick for salvaging broken powder makeup as well, but if not, you should definitely look that up as well. It’s just good to know that you can fix any broken color so you can use it like it’s good as new, or just to keep it from getting all over everything else. 👍

I am thoroughly surprised that Korn gave licensing for an eyeshadow palette. Especially to a brand that does mostly cartoon palettes 😅 but damn, a korn palette was NOT on my bingo card

I don't see it until I put it on my eye. Which is weird, cause most people seem to see it in the pan, but then when they put it on the eye they're like 'meh grey'
Seems like majority of creators I watch haven’t seen the colors, maybe it is rare, no idea. I also see it on their eyes when they don’t.
Yeah, I also see all the nuances, whereas most of the creators who have reviewed the palette either don't seem to notice, or think it leans heavily in one direction.
