- Ever since learning CW, I couldn’t wait to do an activation using my newly acquired skill in CW. It’s not a full blown activation, but I attempt to activate the National Historic Iditarod Trail US-4570 by hunting CW parks. Follow me along on my journeys in Alaska! Thanks for watching, 73

Thank you my friend! Thanks for watching, 73

Thanks brother! Take care my friend and thanks for watching, 73
Thanks for the P2P. I remember recognizing your callsign that day. Keep it up, you’ll be able to call CQ in no time.
Thanks my friend and for the patience and P2P! 73 my friend!
Closest I ever got to dog sleighing was Puffin Inn 😂👋
🤣
The warm weather definitely followed me up there from FL last week...Denali was heavenly to hike...ptarmigan everywhere
Most definitely! Great to catch Denali on a clear day. Glad you guys enjoyed it. Thanks for watching! 73
Nice work on CW, Jeramy!!! It might just be the thing for that Alaska propagation.
Thank you my friend! I believe you are right. Not only that but it’s very addicting! Thanks for watching my friend! 73
Wowsers - just a few weeks and your already out doing CW !! That is truly inspiring !! I'm sure the scenery didn't hurt either !! Great job and thanks for sharing !!
Thanks my friend! I really had to push myself to be out there hunting CW parks but glad I did. Even though with all my mistakes. Actually using what I learned is helping me more than I thought. Thanks for watching! 73
Hi Jeremy, from your videos I also thought you had just started learning Morse. I’m also keen to learn the code. Could you say how long you’ve been learning and how? Great videos by the way!

@@johannesmiller1849 Thanks my friend! I’ve been learning cw straight for about 2 months now. Every chance I get I’m listening to Morse code ninja. When I get home I send what I learnt. Let me say this is my 4th try at learning cw. I started this time copying at 20wpm and sending at 18wpm. Those were the magic numbers for me. Good luck and thanks for watching! 73
Thanks a lot for the feedback, Jeremy. Congratulations and good luck for your further learning.
Great videos, if you find the time pls. keep them coming.

You sold me on the buddipole in one of your other videos and it's a great antenna. Thanks for that! On the FT5D you can turn on the APRS mute and you'll still receive but without the APRS noise.
Thanks my friend! Yeah I found the mute, haha. It’s really a good antenna! Thanks for watching my friend! 73
Now that’s real portable ain’t no park bench and rooftop there 👍👋
It’s the best!
For those non-KL7's...the bird is the Alaska State bird...ptarmigan. They change colors in summer(brown)/Winter (white) where grouse stay brown all year. Good job Jeramy.
Thanks my friend! And delicious! 🤤 73
Nice work. I need to setup a bag for hiking. There are a few parks I want to hit that have no way to drive into them. Stay safe out there. 73!
Thanks Jeff! I really enjoy these kinds of activations. You will want to do it more often after the first! 73 my friend
Like it !! pota on buddy kq4ati
Do it, Jeff! It’s the best way to POTA! -KEØVIM
Beconing what becon 😂
Haha!
Was this a contest or? I live on the peninsula and I have never heard that many POTA stations over any period of time.
No it’s not a contest. You can go any day or time and do a POTA activation. The program is huge. Thanks for watching, 73!
Hello from KL4UF in Anchorage! I’d love to join you for some POTA adventures if you’re open to it.
Absolutely! Shoot me a email, Kl7ec.alaska@gmail.com
