Yea still fishable and they where in them. I just didn’t have any luck. I had all my luck at the first cove to the right after the creek. 4/6 ft of water.
Not sure the name of the branch but it’s the branch just before you get to the lake that I put in. It puts you in the back of the lake. Prob the best way for a kayak. Just fyi you still have to go to the office and pay launch fee.
Nice video. I'm going to be visiting that area Jackson/Madison in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I won't be bringing my Hobie PA 14 360 all the way from California. (I wish) What are some good shorefishing spots I should check out while I'm in town?
@@dholmes104 That's my cousins favorite spot as he lives in Madison. Coming from California, I like to get as far away from the city as I can. We own riverfront (Strong River) property in Pinola. I may try my luck back there. I'll be grabbing a fishing license as soon as I get off the plane. 🤣. I already mailed my freshwater tackle box down there.
Yea it’s a state park I think it’s 7 bucks a boat but you’ll have to check the website or the sign at the ramp. It should have the amount. U can also put in at the creek before u get to the lake but have to pay at the main box then go back.
@@dholmes104I found the website and it is indeed saying $7/boat currently. I do wish they would price it different for kayaks since they generally only carry one person versus your typical John or bass boat. But it is what it is! I’m excited to catch some bass regardless
Nice video! Love that place! Were the lilies thick on the left bank as you came out of the creek where you launched?

I’ve not kayaked this one yet. Did you put in at Finley Branch?

I’m hoping to go kayak fishing here soon and bringing two kayaks :) Are there any fees to get into the park?
