Great job explaining how to install and remove it. I couldn't get my hand in there to push that tab at first until I saw this

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 and replaced the fuel vapor leak detection pump that is on top of the tank. I did not need to raise the truck, or lower the tank. My truck is all stock.
Slide in through the rear of the truck, spin your legs around so they are towards the rear of the driver side tire and poking out the side of the truck. You’re basically perpendicular to the drive shaft.
I used my left arm and was able to remove the hose and the connector from the pump. I could not spin it even after finding the tab. I used a long screw driver in my right hand and was able to push a little while holding the tab up and that worked fine.
After removing the pump the gasket was left behind, make sure to get it out and replace it. Toughest part was getting it back in place. I couldn’t turn the pump with my left hand. (Long story, had part of the muscle removed from that hand so it’s weak) I was able to turn my legs towards the passenger side and get my right arm up there and got it back installed.
