The best part of any of the clips is when they tell them the truth but they rarely show more than one of them. They should show more of the people finding out they have been "had". That is the best part, seeing their reaction.
This is the same reason people called Ellen Degeneres “mean”. It’s so damn funny, it has been forever, and now suddenly, the media call this “malicious and mean” it couldn’t be sweeter, or more delightful.
now these are truly great pranks thought up by professionals, unlike like the amateur youtube pranksters of today
The amount of work they put in just to make someone laugh reminds me of myself. To see someone smile and have a memory that they will never forget is worth everything.

Me too, in my father's lap, with 3 kids!!! These, "Classic's episodes, bring back, cherished memories, tho, the 3 of us were very small, and did not understand, HIS LAUGH WAS INFECTIOUS, THAT MADE US LAUGH! The voice of the first lady was so pleasant, attractive and endearing. It reminded me how different people used to be back in the late 80s and early 90s.
Right, and back then you could make a friendly gesture like touch someone's arm or shoulder without being sued for sexual harassment.

Yeah that would have been much better. Also I think the girl putting the sign in was the same one that gave them the paperwork. It would be dumb if she walked by in the opposite direction.

Nono Ami The world still is normal. Wtf? The world isn’t much different now. This is the 90s and I grew up then and things weren’t much different at all. The people were the same and our lives were pretty much the same.
These little episodes are really making me laugh! But I had to stop because I can’t take the intro every four minutes. Sure wish I could watch several in a row.

This happened to my uncle... for real!
He car-pooled to work. After arriving at work, he and the other two in
the car pool walked across the parking lot... and walked... and walked.
Finally, they stopped, looked around, and said, "Yesterday... about this
time... didn't we used to work about right here?" Pre-cell phone days.
They finally located a phone, found someone who knew what was going
on, and they were told something like, "Oh yeah, we thought you would
have taken the hint when you noticed that your building was missing!"
So what had happened to their building? It got torn down, and the boss didn't bother telling his employees? He changed locations?

I’ve lived this but it wasn’t a prank, up and down the block, round and round, not being able to find it. What a fiasco. I just wished someone was there to tell me it was Candid Camera.
If the guy wasn't there messing up the prank it would be better
He should have said "can i help you, you look lost?" and then said "yes this is 2-25 grand and point at the abandoned patch"

Without him we wouldn't know what the prankees are thinking.
They should have put a chalk hopscotch game on the sidewalk at the front door, and the lady answering the door points it out. That would be confirmation for the person that they were in the right spot and the building was just gone.

The Same thing actually happened on our main Street with the iron benches. They were just gone one day , then when they came back, I pulled on them to see if they were bolted in the ground or not, and they were beyond bolted. To this day I don't know how they disappeared so quickly in only a few days

Kimberly Hardin Um people used to get in fights back in the day a more than they do now. People now are scared to even take up for their self and say something cause they think they’ll get in trouble. This was the 90s though and people were the same back then too. But people in the 80s and before were more likely to say something back and get physical which is a good thing cause people should take up for themselves.
You all do realize the show is edited right? If there were any fights or cursing etc., obviously they would edit it out. This was a family show after all.

I used to prank my friends like this. I put a friend's office inside a service elevator, and before that in college I put the entire dorm room of 2 friends inside the men's shower.

oh yes, it isn't really conspicious enough that the walls of the building look like cardboard and is has no roof. Must have been really surprising to those people...
They couldn’t see that the building didn’t have a roof from walking on the sidewalk (the camera was showing it from a above angle) and they couldn’t tell the walls weren’t real wall from the outside.
Ya think they would notice the fake concrete steps and the absence of a roof.

Correct. It is pretty obvious though. The viewpoint of the camera 🎥 does not help.
