  • Welcome aboard this rollercoaster approach and landing, with steep turns, strong winds and some skilled pilot manoeuvres to avoid heavy CB buildups on the approach path to a crosswind landing in this Embraer 190 airplane.
Massive cells of Cumulonimbus water walls can be seen from the aircraft window and the pilot in command masterfully guides the Embraer jet around the edges of the storm cells to keep the plane stable and comfortable.
Watch the storm cells evolve as electrical lightening forks can be seen shooting to earth causing a risk of lightening strike!
This flight was operated by UK based airline Flybe and was a charter flight from the Channel Islands to Doncaster Sheffield Airport EGCN in the UK. Landing on Runway 20 safely, the crosswinds were reported to be +30knots!

Very skilled pilot. I’ve done a few white knuckle approaches and always amazed at the skill of a good pilot slipping by the storms. 👏👏. 👏👏

Sorry folks, NOT Embraer, Airline is Southwest Airlines, plane is Boeing 737. Embraer has 2 TAIL mounted engines, 737 has 2 underwing, as clearly shown here

You do realize Embraer makes aircrafts that have underwing engines too right ? The Embraer E-Jet family is a series of 4 narrow body short to medium range twin engine jets, E170, E175, E190 and the E195. They also make a private jet one called the Lineage 1000. This is an E190, the company is FlyBe based in the UK. The airport is Doncaster Sheffield Airport in Doncaster, UK. The colors are similar to SouthWest but it is not them. Also the winglets would be more broader on the 737-800 but on the E190 it is much sleeker
