Hi there. Thanks for your question. This is a tough one because I torture myself sometimes with the truly budget ones and I'd hate to do that to you/the kids. If you book early enough the safest option is a Travelodge, maybe the one in Ealing. It often shows up for less than £70 a night. My personal fave is the Church Street Hotel with the caveat that it's a bit of a walk to a tube station and it's shared bathrooms. Stayed there 4 or 5 times now.

Out of all the budget hotels you have done ... what area and hotel will you recommend for a family of 5 in December?
