43 Years ago I visited the field after a Northfield Bike Club Ride. I chased a Tow Rope and held a Wingtip for a few hours. The FOO took pity on me and let me get in the back seat of s Club Glider. We were towed to around 3000 Feet and rode 1 Thermal another maybe 300 feet. We didn't find more lift and landed after 18 Minutes. I paid $5 towards the Aerotow. I still have fond memories of that day...
