You’ve done so well Alex. Well done buddy I’m so proud of you. You are living proof that you can do anything if you just put your mind to it. I can’t wait for the next episode 🤗👍 Take care ( Roger )
Aston1936 in the States has recently had 4 extra injector O-rings that he was just giving away from what I remember. He ran into the same issue of them coming in an 8-pack.
Hi Alex, I need torques for the inlet manifold gaskets on the DB9 and I don't do Instagram. Your help would be well appreciated. A tip my hat to you for the work you have done already. Even fully qualified mechanics would surely shun a job like this!
Okay mate - if RUclips allows you to put your email address in reply to me, pop it on here and I’ll send across a copy of the workshop manual by email!
Hello Alex, I just bought an Aston Martin DB9 submarine. Got it ar Cooart in the US and I am now waiting for it to arrive in Switzerland. Do you have a link to the workshop manual in order to separate the body from the power powertrain. I would like to do the 50 step program on it.
It will probably be fine Alex! At least you’re not paying a specialist to remove the manifolds, etc to do the job like I did!! As for misfires and the risk to the catalysts, that’s apparently a real, but in reality very rare issue. Good luck. Enjoying watching the process. Good, nerdy viewing!
You’re a lot braver than I am to take this job in. Nice one! Is it really worth using 1 old spark plug after all that work? Probably fine, but what a pain if you use one which was somehow damaged in the flood. All that work to get access again!
Thanks Richard, a lot of people have said this to me in person too - almost a worrying amount 😂 The spark plugs aren’t from the flooded engine, but the new one I bought; there were a couple in there that looked virtually brand new, and I used one of them!
Outstanding work. Well done. You have some balls to do this 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Can’t wait to hear it roar!!

Cheers Roger, always enjoy reading your comments. Thank you!
Awesome progress, the DB9 is one of my favorite Astons of all time.
Cheers Ricky! Yeah it’s beautiful to look at, it really is!
Fantastic video.... I bet it was a nervous moment when you lifted the car... Well done you!
Haha let’s say the dark trousers were a strategic decision on the day 😂
Good luck with this project,

Haha I just don’t get why they’d sell them as 8, unless they use the same injectors in their V8s

Hi. I need tightening torques for the crankshaft and connecting rods for the rapide. I think it may be the same as in db9?
Hey man - drop me a message on Instagram and I can send over a workshop manual copy to you
