    First time seeing King Herod castle 🏰 built 2000 years ago. I had no idea this structure still exists today. I have surgery next month and been looking at a lot of biblical places never seen before. Pray for me, and thanks for sharing!

    I’ve been here. The Citadel /city of David predates Herod by 1,000 years. Herod added to it, but was not the original builder.

    Thank you for testifying the truth of our Lord and Savior! Praise the Lord for leading you to the location of the hidden gate and to the judgment seat (the Bema Seat). How marvelous are His ways! To Him be all the glory! Sending love and blessings for this new season of watching and praying...

      Marvelous and deep are His Ways.
      A Purple Robe
      A Crown of Thorns
      Reed = Staff/Rod
      Mat 27:28 they put on him a scarlet robe.
      29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a Reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
      30 And they spit upon him, and took the Reed, and smote him on the head.
      We'll look at the reed /staff that John received in Rev 11:1 soon.

    This is priceless. As you say, He was born in a manger....the crucifixion site is a bus station...and where He was judged is obscured....but the Truth cannot be hidden forever. Knowledge has and will continue to increase. Blessed be His Name. If those stones could talk, what witnesses they would be. Everyone is wearing jackets. Is cold weather in late June normal in Jerusalem? Shalom, dear brother.

    It is really great how Israeli state preserved these, identified them and restored them carefully, so that we got them today. The rest of the middle east-the cradle of human civilization, they plow these things away as if they were nothing. there are too many depressing examples to need evidencing.

    Thank you Leeland. I think it probable that some of your viewers wouldn't know what a Mikvah is. You might want to explain.

    • @LeelandJones
      @LeelandJones  5 лет назад

      Yes, good point. It's a challenge to explain many times but a "mikvah" a ritual bath of running water for immersion. It's where baptism comes from. The priests were instructed to wash and by the 1st century many were doing water immersion as part of purity before going to the Temple. As a result, there countless baths in Jerusalem called mikvah or plural mikvaot.

    I think you mistaken about Herod's Palace and Pilate. Yes Herod the Great was Dead, but Herod Antipas was not and Jesus was taken before him, In Jerusalem, at his palace. Pilate would not have been sharing a palaces with Herod Antipas.

    • @LeelandJones
      @LeelandJones  5 лет назад +1

      Herod was in Jerusalem for Passover but had jurisdiction in Galilee so did not have the Palace. Pilate did as he was procurator of Judah. Herod was in fort antonia
