- If you've never been able to visit our farm and village in the Missouri Ozarks, here is the next best thing. In her 14+ years at Baker Creek, Kathy McFarland led countless groups of visitors on tours, telling the story of this remarkable company. Kathy retired this spring, but she returned to lead one more tour. Congratulations, Kathy! (PS - We miss you.)
My first visit to the baker creek farm was 2005, then again 2007-8. Then a long gap of 15 yrs, that was way too long, I went to the harvest festival 2023, it was like a home coming, so much had changed and expanded. Absolutely worth the trip, this is an oasis in a sea of insanity.
I went to the Heirloom Expo 2014-2019, all those events were life changing and. Brought my gardening to the next level. Every year when the whole seed catalog arrives in November it’s like a lifeline to what’s important and what matters, saving rare seed and gardening for life.
It’s been great to follow and be apart of the amazing journey this seed company has taken me on.
Of COURSE he’s homeschooled! What an incredible venture. I adore everything about this company. Thanks for sharing the history.
He also lived in a farm And owned a house
We were there Oct 7, 2023 for the first time. What a wonderful place!! I really want to return in spring ‘24.
Such a lovely lady!!! Thanks for the history lesson!!!
Baker Creek publishes a million catalogs now? Wow! Impressive! Yes, I love reading through the WHOLE SEED CATALOG... probably order too many seeds, but at least it gives me some to share! Best wishes from Olympia, WA - Kate - 11/27/2023.
Love Baker Creek Seeds! It was really interesting to see that property and hear the founder's story, and that he was a very young man when he started. That is inspirational!
Absolutely love this place! I just ordered over $100 in seeds for the 2024 growing season of some beautiful plants! I grew purple galaxy tomatoes last year and they were beautiful
Excellent tour and what a joy to see this! Baker Creek- so deserving of all its success!
This place is this gardener's dream! Peace and Blessings 🌻
Thank you for sharing 🙏🙏🙏

Great video!
Eu queria saber se existe a possibilidade de franquia ou revenda de sementes Baker creek em outro país?
💚👍👍
He was home schooled.
Stop crushing your plastic water bottle next to the mic. Lol
"Promosm" ✋
When I saw a quote from Vladimir Zelensky in the catalogue last year I threw it away immediately. Terrible person to put in seed catalogue. Wake up!
What happens when the original founder goes! When you go woke, you go broke! 😅
Baker seeds will find that out if they want to go that route
I met Jerry and the crew at the Heirloom festival in Santa Rosa California. Although it’s a very liberal area, he brought everybody together.
I hope the company gets your message and does not promote anything that seems politically charged.
I still contact one of his managers. They all were just down to earth and great people. I actually just saw my stash of Baker creek seeds. It will take more than politics to turn me away from them unless it’s too wacky
@@ryanalexander3088 hopefully for their sake’s they don’t go political either way. I met Jerry when I put on the Heirloom festival in Santa Rosa California and even now he is sad be very wealthy now from his work, he couldn’t of been nicer and more humble.
Imagine being so fragile to be offended by a seed catalog containing a quote. We have a presidential candidate that is quoting Hitler, that's what I'd be worried about, Nikki.
