As long as these girls don't even have the decency to give the rings back to production, they are all collectively going to get lower and lower grade rings because this show is not going to continue to buy quality rings if these girls are just going to sell them for profit. They should put it in the contract though know that if no marriage occurs the ring should have to be turned back in.
Production makes more than enough money off of these people to purchase decent rings. $6k can get you a quality ring and the company can afford it and then some.
What a load of nonsense. They're barely getting paid properly for being on the show at all hours, not to mention the emotional intensity everyone has to go through. I'm sure the show buys the rings with the hope of the women keeping them (AKA actually getting married). There's absolutely no reason whatsoever why they should return something thry received basically as a gift. They sure earned it.

Not entirely. Sharlotte didn't have any other connections so her story came to a dead end and she left the pods. Cat, on the other hand, DID make a connection with Freddie, so obvs she would stay in the programme. They didn't have time to show Ollie with three connections, esp when one of those women left the programme. I don't think it's that deep. It's more about practical considerations. However, the racial angle DID give it a bit more spice, but I don't think it's the primary reason for not showing Ollie and Sharlotte.

So yes they did create a narrative in which there was a racial comparison. However, I wish Ollie had chosen Shar to see what the narrative would've been then......because I always thought it was less about race than body type.
I think the difference between Jackie and Kat with the ring thing is in the court of law at least here in the states. Whoever breaks off the engagement usually is the one who has to either forfeit the ring or give back the ring. So the fact that Jackie was breaking up with Marshall meant that you're supposed to give back the ring in the court of law because you're the one breaking the engagement. Now. If Marshall broke the engagement then yes Jackie should keep the ring because she wasn't the one who was breaking off the marriage. So I think that's why. Maybe Freddy didn't care because he was the one who said no. And cat was like all right. Cool. So I'm keeping the ring. But yeah if I say I don't want to marry you I'm supposed to give back that ring
