    Beautiful message! We are not our labels. This young man lived more and loved more in his lifetime than the majority of people who live to be old. Why? He lived from who he truly was, from his beautiful heart! That will live on forever!

    Mr Doron, you're a very strong man with a big heart. I cried listening to your talk. I can't imagine what you went through fighting for your country and later having a "special needs" child. The work that you continue in Alle Negev is beyond amazing. It's even more amazing that you accept ALL "special needs" people. I hope many people hear this message and embrace and love these people throughout the world. May God bless you abundantly and enlarge your territories and keep you away from anything that can cause you pain or harm.

    I am muslim and have much respect for this man. I don't respect the wars and everything else involved in the story, because thats very complicated issue, but I respect him personally for this achievement.
    Religion or country doesn't matter. Thats just politics. The ordinary people usually don't care.
    Once you're confronted with such a situation, you discover your humanity.
    Most of us forget our humanity, are selfish and arrogant, because we're weak and wont pick up such a challenge.

    • @timmysinvestments3110

      yes we might have different beliefs, and/or different paths to what we believe is the right way, be it muslim , jewish, atheist, or whatever. What counts is the result and what we actually do and how we behave. Its not what we call ourselves or what we preach to others,,, its our own actions.

      I doesn't matter if you follow any religion in the world or you don't follow any religion at all. Every body's ultimate goal is to learn what it is truly to be a HUMAN.
      It is a fact of life that a Human can't live alone no matter what, so why should they be treated any different.

    • @affilinet
      @affilinet 7 лет назад +2

      Abhishek Mukherjee it does matter if you follow a religion without testing your believes, that is if you base it on faith, that is believing in something without proof or logic, that is a mind that does not look for errors in the logic or proof/facts presented. No emotions are allowed when it comes to the truth.
      Such a person, even if peaceful, is a problem because since you dont care about testing believes and are ok with just faith, what you believe in will be based on your personality and enviroment.
      Believes should not be based on personality but on facts and logic and proof.
      That is you look at your believes and try to find every every single error in the logic or facts/proofs of your believes.
      I admit i do not know if even understanding what i just said fully requires a certain level of iq or some other intelligence.
      Even what i just said is a belief, and i cant find logical errors in it, but i have plenty of real world proof that just faith is responsable for millions or maybe billions of people getting killed.
      Hitler sure as hell didnt sit down even once in his life and tryed to find errors in his believes.
      Muslim extremists base it on faith that when they blow themselves up they will go to heaven and have 7 virgins or whatever.
      Also a person that tests his believes in the way i mentioned loves to be proven wrong, because when you are proven wrong you are closer to the truth, and that is all such a person cares about.
      In my experience people that are ok with just faith hate to be proven wrong, they let emotions get in the way of logic.
      Faith people are and will alway be the greatest source of destruction and misery in the world.
      I have no problem with religion if it is not based on just faith.

      What you are saying is just explanation of distiction between Personality and Individuality. Personality is idetification with cultural, moral, religional, national and what ever else norm or standard without questioning it or just poor understanding of the principles and what is common false definition of therminology. Identity accordig to this is inborn true nature and bliss and wisdom and uniqueness that is able of distinction with immense clarity. That is what is the once existencial responsibility to get over personality and realize Individuality. It is like getting out of prison where one has jailed him self because he was brought up by society (parents, teachers....) to selfimprisonment or selfenslavement by force. The real goal is to find the individuality, unique ingenius and to act through this in every breath.

    When studying in university I took a part-time job looking after mentally disabled teenagers/young adults. Thinking at first that I was "doing a favor" to society by undertaking this poorly payed job, I quickly realized that I was the student and that these wonderful people that I was working with were very much my teachers. When your intellect is compromised it does not mean that you are necessarily handicapped with your "emotional intelligence". In fact for some of these good people, particularly those with Down's Syndrome, I think the handicap in intellect allows the sharpening of their emotional skills. These were just a bunch of wonderful young people that in some ways understood what was important in life much better than I did. Working with these people was Indeed a humbling experience. I take my hat off to Doron Almog and his achievements to make the lives of these people better, and to bring them into mainstream society.

    We all must say something, when we are in these kind of situations. He said that the child has be punished. It is the parents that is being punished, for what ever reason, I do not know. It`s a big burden to any parent, who are in such situation. That is why the father became a better person, as he said

    I am not very fond of other religions, a former Buddhist, but I ran into so many Nazi sympathizers and Jews and have learned from the experience. I realized the values of Christianity and so on; then from this experience I explore the others, for truth. I can understand both views; the Muslim-no one but God is holy and so they did not believe anyone capable of doing the good things? then the Jewish view, tradition of good and advancement, from God, and thus should not yield to obvious "barbaric" civilizations? Then the bloodline issue, if it is good why mix with unknown. Not that anyone can not learn to be better/a Christian.

    • @Elisheval
      @Elisheval 7 лет назад +10

      Oh, so as far as you're concerned, he should have just said- oh, i'm not fighting anymore... and he'd have lived happily ever after? Gee. Are you familiar with the quote "If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more ‎violence. If the Jews put ‎down their weapons ‎today, there would be no ‎more Israel"...The war he was referring to was the 73 war--- a mere 30 years after Israel was born.... it was a war for survival - as is every one since. No one in their right mind wants to go to war.

      I thank you for your thoughts on this video. I am feeling sincerely sad for you. You missed the passion and feeling in his heart. We all see what we want to see. I guess I chose to see the love this man had/has for his beloved son. I chose to see the goodness he created for so many people in the form of the village. I chose to see the deep ache he still carries for the loss of his son. We human beings are such an interesting species.

    • @SaschaHusenbeth
      @SaschaHusenbeth 7 лет назад +2

      i saw that as well, don't get me wrong. but why go parading it on stage? maybe he was asked to give a talk, i don't know. we are interesting yes, and also easy to manipulate. i don't cheer for people in the military, except they have to defend their and their loved ones lives. in his case, he seems to have joined the military for the opportunities and the high moral and social status that he is rewarded with in a militaristic society. in other words, money and praise. i don't choose to see the bad, i just don't overlook it because of the sugarcoating...
