- In this video, I show you what natural farming inputs I use on my vegetable farm as my plants are starting to grow.
I am using 5 different natural farming inputs:
11 ml of Oriental Herbal Nutrients [OHN]
23 ml of Fermented Plant Juice [FPJ]
23 ml of Brown Rice Vinegar [BRV]
11 ml of Water Soluble Calcium {WCa]
+
4 ml of Fish Amino Acid [FAA]
All of this will be put in 3 gallons of water in my sprayer
I will see how my plants respond to these nutrients and keep you posted :)
If any natural farmers out there have any tips/advice for me throughout the growing season, please do not hesitate to reach out to me, I am still learning the natural farming practice and would love any help I can get

Can't wait for the imo series 👍👍👍
I always use row cover with cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower .. love the updates keep it up with knf and I’m looking forward to those IMO vids!
I just bought myself some row covers after several people have encouraged me to buy them, and I appreciate the love!
Safer brand caterpillar killer for me,mang. Cant wait to see if the Jadam helps, though! You got this! Long Live the Natural Farmer! Salute!
Earwigs have been eating my young plants so I tried Garlic Pepper Tea using Howard Garrets recipe and it seems to work keeping them away
I always learn so much from your videos. Oh I should check out that company to purchase inputs. I've been too lazy to make them lol. Those damn cabbage worms!
A seguir adelante amigo, saludos
Hey John we learn the most by failing. Even though you're doing natural farming in nature you never see large numbers of the same plant in perfect rows that the pests can easily home in on. From watching your videos it's obvious you know far more than me about growing plants but I found that growing in a disorganized chaotic way with all kinds of plants growing close together helps confuse pests and also attracts insects that keep pests in check. If you're growing for volume to sell it doesn't make sense but it works for a home garden. There's a video by Living Web Farms called Farmscaping for pollinators and predatory insects with Pat Battle that may be helpful to you I have an army of predatory insects patrolling for soft body pests to lay their eggs in or feed to their young. You just need the plants that attract them mixed in. Good luck.
Joe, you are absolutely right! it may be one of the many reasons pests will be coming right to my crops is because I have them all together. I am learning about what flowers/herbs to interplant this coming month to help mitigate the pests and hopefully I wont have too much of an infestation problem. I appreciate the feedback and happy growing my friend

Can you switch ffj for fpj maintenance solution if your in late flower? Love the channel keep up the good work
Love your positive outlook, now you know, take note for next time, make best of what do have. What did you do with the cabbage worms? (I’m fascinated by parasitic species heh) what do they look like? I watched a video the other day of farmers getting rid of pests by means of other insects that eat those pests but not the crop. And then those introduced insects die as their food source disappears.
the learning continues! and with the cabbage worms that I picked off I just threw them back in the compost pile away from the farm. these worms looked like they had some brown lines on the back, they were not green so I may be getting confused with the cabbage loopers vs. the cabbage worms, but nonetheless, something was eating the cabbages lol
Never had luck with cabbage either.
it's the whole brassica family I seem to have trouble with.. but I gotta keep trying! Hope all is well and happy growing!
@@johnknf doing great here. I’m going to give it another shot next year. Happy growing
very curious to see the pest management with jadam
Try neem oil for your pest control
I like that sprayer. What kind is it
is there any major difference between applying KNF inputs as a foliar spray vs soil drench? Could you apply as a soil drench then immediately a light foliar spray to cover all parts of the plant?
Could maintenance solution be mixed with the JWS/JHS just to help prevent you from having to make multiple mixtures and spraying multiple times?
John, can i use white rice vinegar for WCA? Thx
Would a garlic spray work for your cabbage worms ?
