This video shows how you can rewind the stator of a motorcycle alternator with your own hands. As an example, the stator of a single-phase alternator of Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle was used.

Winding wire without impregnation between layers? The external impregnation will not enter all spaces and the stator winding will quickly fail.

6.15.23. What year sportster is this out of? I’m surprised it’s not a three phase Stator, instead of a single phase Stator! Also, where did you source the new winding wire, 😲And it’s wire gauge?

What AWG did you use?
What effect would a larger gauge have on the charging system if you use the same number of winds per pole?
