I am a Dyshen fan, but please read all the way to the end of this post before commenting! Also, please dont make harsh, hateful, nasty or derogatory comments... I truly believe that Dylan was, or wanted to be, together with Shen Yue. I also think that they are no longer together. I think they are now good friends. I would still love to see them in the another drama as long as they play different roles that stretch them a lot. I have been feeling for a while that Esther and Dylan either are, or were or wanted to be together during this filming. I see much of the same type of antics from Dylan here that I saw with Shen Yue during MG filming. He is always a playful prankster bts. But, he doesnt do this with every costar, though. Only with the ones he likes. The difference? I think Dylan has met his match with Esther. Their personalities are the same. Shen Yue was more shy and serious and not as playful with Dylan as Esther. Esther is outgoing and even more playful than Dylan, if that is possible. I have seen LBFAD and was very impressed with Dylan's performance. He still plays a bad guy turned good guy because of love. In that respect, he is roughly playing the same Dao Ming Si type of character. I dont think this roll was much of a departure from that. Except that he has more different "looks" now. He can convey more without words now. I think Dylan has grown more in his confidence and that definitely showed in his portrayal of DFCG. This is the 1st time I've seen Esther Yu. My impression? She is very pretty and smart and, I thought, played the role of Orchid perfectly. While many people complained that her voice was annoying, my comment was always, " She is a FAIRY! That is what a fairy should sound like!" Even though I loved LBFAD, I didnt really have that, 'I ship them!' feeling during the show. Not like I had with Shen Yue in MG. Maybe because MG wrote the characters the way they did and pulled them apart so many times. You just had to root for them! It was also a longer show. But! I do see more of a teasing, flirting relationship bts in LBFAD, and this is where it counts, isnt it? Whether Dylan is with Esther now or not, I still support him in all he does. I still support Shen Yue in all she does. As for Esther? I am very interested to watch her drama, "A Romance of the Little Forest" to see how she plays that roll. I have seen her video "Gwalla", in fact, I have it saved in my phone! I am addicted to it! I have seen her when she was in her girl groups, she is seriously a talented singer and dancer! I have seen her and Dylans performance, "Dangerous Party", on Hello Saturday. I have that saved as well! So, what is my bottom line? I think you can be a Dyshen supporter and still support Esther as well. You just have to be honest with what you are seeing and hearing and you gotta love the actor enough to wish the best for them, even if it isnt the one you ship them with! You gotta be careful what you believe though! I have seen people translate things incorrectly to sway people toward either Dyshen or Dixin Gravity. The thing that cant be denied though is what you see! Dylan and Esther definitely had something undeniable bts during the filming of LBFAD and during the talk show, Hello Saturday and other interviews. If you just watch them, you can see it. There is something there.

From my perspective, I adore the 💖between🧚♀️&😈 Storyline, so it’s fun to see the difference in the way he plays the roles between the two series, even if they are similar tropes all in all. this is very well stated. I have nothing against anyone in the rivalry of dixin and dyshen. LBFAD was the first c drama I ever saw. it opened my guilty pleasure of watching c dramas and I thought it was adorable and is still my number one and will always be. it actually made me want to watch his others. Meteor garden was the second one I saw. I loved the show even though I had a love hate feeling towards Shancai, Shen Yue did a phenomenal job in portraying her. that's how you know an actor or actress is amazing... when they can make you FEEL. chemistry wise I think Dylan and Esther at least imho seemed to have better chemistry on and off screen. however we all must remember that this is their lives. whether he chooses Shen Yue Esther or someone else. I honestly think it is heartbreaking that Dylan has to hide his feelings away from the world because of scrutiny instead of shouting to the world who he truly adores. the hardest thing for any actor is to keep their lives private. we must all show respect to them. whatever he decides I support. he deserves his happiness
