The easiest being a box fan or oscillating fan neither of which are expensive. If they have a night stand her could get his own personal desk fan which is also not all that expensive. Slightly more complex is a ceiling fan but they are renting so not totally an option. And the 2 options that are probably cheaper than the couch but more expensive than every other option- portable AC unit they use a tube to connect to a piece you put in a slightly ajar window(i think these start at 300$) or a corded window unit (mechanical ones(meaning no like digital display)run for about 160$ usd on Amazon)

Getting hair to that color takes multiple sessions of bleaching, which is really bad for the hair if not done right. So darkening it and then bleaching it again might ruin her hair to the point of needing to cut it all off.
Post 4. Nope you can't go from brown to lilac. It would take weeks to go back to lilac from brown without damaging. She would need to bleach the brown out because lilac only works over bleached hair. I tried it, and it just tuened my hair silver. She would need to wait after dying it brown to bleach it to give the hair time to recover. She shojld just get a nice wig and not tell anyone it's a wig. A good wig is practically indistinguishable from real since they use real hair.
As someone with rainbow hair absolutely she should not give in to her sister's ridiculous demands, it took me 10 years of bleaching my brown hair to get it to the perfect colour for dying it fun and crazy colours

This, as someone who dyes their hair pretty regularly and my natural color is brown getting lighter is a PAIN and leaves my hair feeling gross. Also if you follow instructions and have to lighten your hair more than once to get it light enough then you should i believe give yourself a week before lightening again(i can't remember)but still you should technically have times between lightening and I only bring that up if OP is doing the dye job themselves. I slept on a love seat at my dads and it killed my back, I’m only 5’1 and my feet still hung off. Being regularly woken up at 4:00-6:00 am is literal torture. Continuous sleep deprivation can also impact energy and motivation.

I actually don't like dyed hair of any color. I would NEVER ask someone to change their hair for any reason, let alone just because its something I dont really like. Their appearance has nothing to do with me. Its like asking someone to cover tattoos or remove piercings, which really aren't my thing either, but I am a fan of free expression and people liking themselves. If someone tells you to change something about you-- that you like, tell them to jog on. If you like it and it doesnt physically harm you or anyone else, you should do it. As long as when you attend an event like a wedding, funeral, etc and you're clean and tidy (because that is polite), nothing else should matter. She's just got control issues.
My cousin gets married in december and we're all very excited, I have dyed hair and change colors every so often. She never asked me but out of love I'm changing my hair color to something a little more natural for the wedding. It takes a while to adjust to night shift work. My husband switched to night shift six or more years ago. The first few months were rough on him. We have blackout curtains and he also sleeps with ear plugs and a sound machine on to drown out any noise from kids or neighborhood noise. They’ll figure it out
My childhood best friend had turquoise hair for my wedding. 🤷🏼♀️ it actually matched our wedding colors pretty well. She originally said she was going to dye it silver (our colors were turquoise and gray) but I really didn’t care. She’s still my oldest friend, regardless of her hair color.

Story 5: NTA I suspect the main reason sis wants her to be a bridesmaid is so she can dictate her hair color.
Throw in her being opposed to a wig, and I'm pretty sure it's a jealousy issue, not just a "but my wedding aesthetic!" issue. Getting back to a light color from a dark one isn't easy or cheap, and can do a lot of damage to the hair.
This, as someone who dyes their hair pretty regularly and my natural color is brown getting lighter is a PAIN and leaves my hair feeling gross. Also if you follow instructions and have to lighten your hair more than once to get it light enough then you should i believe give yourself a week before lightening again(i can't remember)but still you should technically have times between lightening and I only bring that up if OP is doing the dye job themselves. If they are paying for it, then i hope ops sister and mom are willing to fork out the money to have a professional do it(if op was willing, i say op should just wear a wig cause it literally hurts nothing)

OP doesn't pay any bills, and barely any rent. And doesn't do chores to make up for it. They arn't pulling their weight financially. OP can financially contribute and buy the couch, or at least a fan. That way OP is actually being an equil partner, rather than taking advantage.
Also, he isn't being mean or anything, just reached a desperate point in lack of sleep. It is his house, he pays most of the rent, all the bills, and bought the bed. I feel he has more say untill OP starts pulling their weight and not mooching.

@@oakenshadow6763Another thing it isn’t even a couch it’s a love seat which is half the size of a couch. She would have to be curled up into a ball to fit which is not comfortable for many hours. I slept on a love seat at my dads and it killed my back, I’m only 5’1 and my feet still hung off. Being regularly woken up at 4:00-6:00 am is literal torture. Continuous sleep deprivation can also impact energy and motivation.

Story 2: Why is OP paying so little in rent? And not paying any bills? It's his apartment OP moved into. The bed and couch he bought. Is OP picking up chores to compensate for their lack of financial contribution? Why is OP not pulling their weight?
As for the actual question, get a fan/air conditioner and buy a bigger bed, each paying half. The fan fixes how hot it is, and the bigger bed means he will have more space. These two are in a relationship. They need to start working together and both pulling their weight equily.
This goes no matter what genders, pay your fair share of rent, bills, and do a fair share of chores. It is supposed to be an equil relationship. (Of cource perportional to income)

I actually don't like dyed hair of any color.
I would NEVER ask someone to change their hair for any reason, let alone just because its something I dont really like. Their appearance has nothing to do with me. Its like asking someone to cover tattoos or remove piercings, which really aren't my thing either, but I am a fan of free expression and people liking themselves.
If someone tells you to change something about you-- that you like, tell them to jog on. If you like it and it doesnt physically harm you or anyone else, you should do it.
As long as when you attend an event like a wedding, funeral, etc and you're clean and tidy (because that is polite), nothing else should matter.

It takes a while to adjust to night shift work. My husband switched to night shift six or more years ago. The first few months were rough on him. We have blackout curtains and he also sleeps with ear plugs and a sound machine on to drown out any noise from kids or neighborhood noise. They’ll figure it out

My childhood best friend had turquoise hair for my wedding. 🤷🏼♀️ it actually matched our wedding colors pretty well. She originally said she was going to dye it silver (our colors were turquoise and gray) but I really didn’t care. She’s still my oldest friend, regardless of her hair color.
(So did my brother actually. His was bright teal because he went to a concert shortly before. He wasn’t in the wedding party but was of course in family pictures, being my brother and all. 😅)
