About Josh Turner Guitar
Josh began making RUclips videos in 2007. Ranging from popular to esoteric, local to far flung, and playful to serious, Josh’s videos offer a little something for everyone. Josh also performs regularly with long-time collaborator, Carson McKee, as the folk duo The Other Favorites. Josh’s first full-length solo album, As Good A Place As Any, was released in April 2019.
Equipment/Techniqes:
Guitar: D'Angelico Deluxe Atlantic - into a Fender Blues Jr. - sE Voodoo VR2 - ART Pro MPA II
Upright - same mic/pre configuration
Vocal/keys/snare mic: Vanguard V13 into a Warm WA73.
Recorded live, as always, though two takes were spliced in the middle at the visible video edit.
In Pro Tools - Klanghelm MJUC and Waves F6, Valhalla Room. Bounced to 7.5 IPS ATR tape on a 1960's Akai M8. Mixed in mono.
Filmed on a Canon EOS R with a 35 mm f/1.8 lens.
Edited in Premiere.

Te ihi, te wehi, te wana (the inspiration, the awe, the feeling). This is the highest compliment in my Maori culture when a performance has that X factor. Go again guys.

I also think the keyboard itself actually makes people think it's a TV too because it kinda looks like the bottom Bezel on a television lol
