I’m gonna take a guess that the sample they used is Cool Cut’s, 'Please Let Me Know.' Listen to the song, read the lyrics and compare it to HP Boy’s song. The lead singer is sang by a women, and the way it’s sang kinda sounds the same (might not be to you, but imo it does). It’s sung at a somewhat slow pace obviously and pauses just a second, as for HP Boys’s version, it’s either they had a guy behind the scenes sing it and the producer had tuned his voice to sound higher/quieter or they somehow managed to take a sample of different parts from Cool Cut’s version to experiment with. As I mentioned in the beginning, it’s just a guess. Hopefully there is someone who is able to identify the sample, it’s fire! I am impressed with HP Boy’s and their music lately. The aussie music scene will reach greater heights and soon the world will recognise it. Mad respect uso’s, don’t gatekeep the sample kefe. We’re desperate 😂
