I like it when reactors go on these long journeys with these type of anime. Especially since after OP ends I don't know if we will ever get another anime that goes on for hundreds and hundreds of episodes just because of how anime is released these days.

The filler is why I checked out of Shippuden. I picked up the manga towards the end and caught up. Its really just toei/viz/whatever the fuck company milking the property. As for dub vs sub, when I started watching this anime, it was only available on Toonami as dub and so I am kind of partial to the dub for the first part of Naruto. However, when I started watching Naruto Shippuden, it was only available for me as subbed, so I had to get used to the change but the voice acting is very good. Regardless, whatever you guys choose will be great.

and if it's dubs, consider this. the dub for shippuden is moving at a snail's pace. if your math is accurate and they did keep watching, it might not matter, but i swear i've been waiting like half a year just to get the next set of episodes released. and when a set is released, it's only like 12 new episodes at a time. funny enough, both naruto the last and the boruto movie got dubbed and the dub of boruto is moving along steady enough since it premiers on toonami.

I was just looking for some new anime to watch from a fansub website when I first discovered this show. I cannot believe it's been 16 years already. Watching the dub is kind of a new experience from me since I did not see any of them.
I remember watching Naruto when I was 9 years old and it was the reason why I started drawing and when I entered college I took an Bachelor's degree in Art. And I when I finished college the anime also ended so basically I feel like Naruto and I grew up together.

@@dewey631 yeah One Piece's viewership was always very much but its story actually improved after the Water 7 arc. But it's manga is still much better than Naruto.
But it matured for worst, because the first part is way better than the second.
@Derek Sorenson Naruto has better fights, lore, better power system and I don't see a an issue with Sasuke's writing. I agree on the Sharingan an wank tho. One Piece is mostly a kid show.

However REMINDING all of this stuff is just another level of nostalgia. I rewatched all of naruto and naruto shippuden in like 3 months a year ago and it was the most awesome experience. That I watched the whole thing about 4 times since then ❤️ I’ve been debating if I should do it again and here I am...
Naruto didn't care if people say him as a bad person or a troublemaker, he just cared that they saw him at all.
I just will say that... this anime is the most beautiful story I ever watched
God!!! It's the best anime in the history. You get to learn lot of things from this . You cry, you laugh , you feel their pain.. I basically grew up watching Naruto even though that time I didn't get what's going on there because I was just a kid of 7-8 years😂 fangirling over Sasuke ..but I kept on researching it every single day.. naruto was what introduced me into anime (aside from studio ghibli films bc those are movies). i honestly can’t wait until you see all the plot twists. it’s going to be a long journey but it’s totally worth it!

SO glad they enjoyed it so much despite how the show, from technical standpoint, is obviously dated (animation, writing etc). The dub is kinda wanky for me, but nothing you can't put up with. Looking forward for the rest of it.
I'm one of the OG watchers that watched fansubs as they were airing in Japan so this dub is taking me time to get used to.

I watched a fansub version of the show, and it was pretty good considering it was one of the first. I was just looking for some new anime to watch from a fansub website when I first discovered this show. I cannot believe it's been 16 years already. Watching the dub is kind of a new experience from me since I did not see any of them.
