This looks similar to the Baptistère de Saint Louis. A brass basin with gold inlay made in Mamluk Egypt/Syria in the 1300s. It's metalwork is stunningly intricate, depicting scenes of the Mamluk military in brilliant detail. Later on in 1606 it was used to baptise King Louis 13th of France, and other French royals.
