Your mom and dad seem like wonderful people. I enjoyed the RUclips channels of both you and your mom and dad. I I am 70 years old so I get to see a lot of things I would’ve never got to see thanks to you and your family. Keep doing what you’re doing. I so enjoy it.
of all the vanlife channels, you guys are the most honest people who tell your story. Ame is young and a real solo traveller, unlike a lot of other solo female travellers (who are in relationship hiding it to grow their channel). It's easy to glorify vanlife like live free, live everywhere etc.. Anyone coming from a relationship deciding to go vanlife is doing it wrong as solo. Ame says it the right way, she stays in the van all the time, doesn't want to leave the van, and theres little to do. I think vanlife the right way is try to find a way to include yourself in the area you stay. Get to know people, mabye rent a spot for your van on a private property (doesnt have to cost much), this way van can stay even if you go for a few days in a hotel.
Totally agree it's easier when you reach out to people and the community... you just have to talk with people and a lot of them will be helpful... when I was doing it with my women we would start just by asking water and that created already a connexion... they ve made the nomad life gypsy life difficult you have to work the system... peace out bro
I came from Ame's channel and I have to admit, in all honesty, that I like yours better in a few ways. Robert's monologues are priceless. Charlotte cooks great stuff and when she speaks it's always spot on and smart. Plus you guys talk about the current local attractions. Keep it up!

It really surprises me that Ame does not have a partner. She is a very independent woman and has an amazing attitude. I personally think whoever is lucky enough to be by her side should consider themselves blessed

I first found Ame's channel and now I enjoy watching both of your videos every week. I envy your mobility, independence and freedom to move around and have been thinking about doing it on a part-time basis here in Malaysia after I retire (in a few years to come). I think the loneliness aspect from Ame's point of view is very sincere & accurate because she really is a solo female van lifer. You see many women calling themselves that but then you find out that a lot of them are actually in long term relationships. There's even several where the guy & girl have their own vans but they still do most of their travelling side by side. They have that constant companionship which makes the lifestyle easier to handle. Even basic chores are easier. In a sense Charlotte & Robert have an easier time of it in that respect. Although I'm sure there are times when they can get on each other's nerves like any marriage & then they're trapped in a very small space together. This was a very sweet & informative video.
Here we see the only Royal Family in Europe that I need to keep track of... Love your videos. Thanks so much for letting us take a peek into your lives. Each of you is an inspirational story in your own right!

The moment I knew Ame would be a superstar on RUclips was when she flipped her hair & had that long stare into the camera in the middle of her van tour video. I had only seen her time lapse & one other before watching that video. I remember thinking this girl is freaking hilarious & she made me laugh out loud. I was hooked from that point. And I have several friends that watch both your videos now.

@@midlifevanlife Oh no sorry to hear that. Hope you are fully on the mend or getting close to it? It seems the superbug is still going around, hopefully it goes now with Summer. I caught it in late Dec and was ill for 3 weeks with it, like a flu plus COVID or something similar. Most ill I had been in decades I think! I think a book would be great, you have lived interesting lives, made a big life changing decision and had challenges, makes for a great autobio 👍

I LOVE seeing old videos. You can see Ame looks a bit younger and I like seeing the beginning, before all the adventures, experience and knowledge that came since. I hope Ame and you both post more old vids or at least share old stories.

I enjoy watching the family group dynamic here, probably because I relate to a similar situation with having 2 sons caravan with me for the past 5+ years. We travel and live full-time, roaming around in the 11 western states in the USA. We have a Van, a toy hauler travel trailer, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and several electric bikes. We enjoy boondocking in big cities and little towns, and camping in county, state, and national parks, but we probably spend most of our time camping in remote off-grid areas. Its FUN watching your "family" VanLife videos because we experience our own family dynamics in our own VanLife travels. Love following your channels and can't wait to watch your next videos.

For all your ups and downs and reasons you come across as a solid family, which would be solid no matter what.
Van life may have made that even stronger and maybe more lasting than ever. Ame bounces off of you two and you bounce off of Ame and anyone can see that really works so as a family regardless where that's all you need. Take good care of each other is all you can do wherever you are. You have all had your bumps but who can say what tomorrow will bring?
Another positive to van life is that you can pick ur neighbours. You don't like them, or they look iffy. You drive off to another location. In a house, you are stuck with them until they or you move.

I think you are a lovely family and have a good relationship with each other in a potentially demanding situation at times. When I was Ame's age I would have said the same about being with my parents but not now I am older. 😊
Honestly, in contrast to the few other vanlifers I was interested enough to look up I think this rubber-band (flexible yet bonded) family VL model probably is the closest thing to ideal to do this sort of thing. That and the fact that it's in Europe, not some other insanely spacious area where you have to travel for a 100 years to get to the next petrol station. (talking from experience a bit here)
Also, 13:13 yes Amelise that's how it works. First your parents give you all their love, take you everywhere and then, one day, they sleep on your floor in your van. The natural order of things. 😄 And excellent if you manage to pull it off.
I’ve been watching your daughter since she started and now following you too. You’re a lovely family! I sold my house and things and bought a 40 foot RV and I’m traveling in America. Yet I’m so jealous of you all getting to travel through Europe meeting up with your daughter. I wish my two daughters could travel more with me but they’re busy in University. I really want to rent a van and travel through Europe but have to look into prices and what’s needed to bring my small dog. Take care on the road.

Very much enjoy your videos and your experiences, we are lucky enough to live in France having gained our CDS, as we arrived in 2014.pre Brexit. Some of our time is spent travelling in an old camping car which is such a wonderful experience exploring France, currently near Redon, Brittany but last week near Toulouse, fabulous welcoming country! So much to see and enjoy!

I know RUclips is full time now for Ame but , as she's said she's struggling to meet people has she considered doing the occasional project or job on something like workaway. Joining a group of people for many some DiY projects or helping develop sustainable living projects. Often younger backpackers doing 2-3 week workaway jobs so she could meet people that way. Also it would be an interesting experience to vlog.

Ame is a brave and smart young lady. She love a soothing relaxing place and i like to see her videos. at the first i saw her video i already know this girl don't care of anything also she had a fun life and feminist way to express in the van living in the same time. and never see the chandelier in any other people's van😂.
