Well tbh considering how history in peru went it couldve been an interesting thought. That’s to say though, unlike japan peru and its native religion had been throughly syncretized with christianism. Especially if the supposed andes gensokyo exists at around the same time as the og gensokyo would have, id imagine that at the very least it would be like how buddhism is in og gensokyo, if not even worse because ppl everywhere by that point believed in god first then everything else. It could definitely be interesting to imagine saints showing up akin to how people like miko showed up in og gensokyo like for example san martin de porres lmaaoo.

Christianity would be the clearly opposite force to all native gods and "youkais", in Latin America (as well as in many regions of Russia) would be a serious split between "Christianized mythical beings" and "Oldschool mythical beings". Maybe in Peruvian Gensokyo would exist even such projections of Christianity on Quechua culture as Inca Jesus and Santa Maria as fertility goddess (I forgot the specific name). Though, in og Gensokyo we have never seen some really huge figures like Amaterasu, Gautama Buddha or, idk, Lao Zi

People here believe in Orthodox Christian values, but are still somewhat superstitious and celebrate some of the rebranded ye olde holidays like Maslenitsa.
