I am glad to find this video coz I have the same exact situation.....the used ECU I got cloned needs to rewrite car VIN number using D7 XTool scanner. I am not sure if it will rewrite the VIN. But I got the idea and Thank You so much!
Would this work with the autel mk808 maxicom. The engine was replaced and maybe other items unsure. Auto vin does not work but I can read codes and such.
Will the MaxiSys write vin into other module on the a car ? I bought a newer radio for my car and needed to rewire a new connector in. Radio is working good or almost . The radio does not show the clock and also have a code of vehicle mismatch configuration.
Interesting , I don't seem to get the special function Icon when using on a Australian Ford Falcon, PCM has been replaced with second hand unit, have reset keys/security system as required, vehicle does run, but VIN is displayed from the secondhand unit on the Autel scanner. I'm guessing the Honda you are working on is allowing the Autel access to VIN change but not a Ford ?
Yes the Hondas/acura allow access to the vin since they store it in the PCM. So far with the autel I have only been successful with honda/acura and Hyundai/kia.
@@gabewhisen3446 it hasn't worked with American cars like it does with Japanese. Acura, honda, Hyundai and kia are straight forward. The functions are different based on the make. I haven't really done the swap on domestic cars yet.
Hi,ive tried your procedure but it does not go thru.got ecu from junkyard,we type the vin number of the car to the new ecu.it says theres a problem with communication.car is 2005 accord automatic 2.4.tia
1- Read the vin the confirm the car 2- hot functions. You should see immo & keys . If that function is not available then, not it won't work. Sorry for the late response
I'm trying the Autel Masisys Pro on a 2004 Range Rover and not being able to change the vin number, Cant read ECU from junkyard, I type the vin number of the car to the new ecu.it reads there's a problem with communication. Does anybody here knows what chips to swap from the old ECM ? I got the tools and knowledge to swap any of the chips on this ECU. Any comments will be appreciated.

I have never tried anything with the radio. So I really don't know. Only VIN, ABS, BRAKE, AIRBAG AND KEYS.
So do you type in your cars vin to the used ecu? Or do you type in the used ecu’s original vin number into your vehicle
Thanks for making this video have a question I have a 07 Honda Accord V6 I replace my PCM did you have to relearn the idle was it running rough
Does this procedure work for abs module as well? TIA
Which autel maxisys the mk808 or the mx808 or the 906
can I do the same when swap radio. ?
bought on junkyard and radio is locked
What year is the honda?
