Also, he had very close relationship with Amitabh, Dharmendra and Manoj Kumar. He said no, because he didn't need to give a crap about some interviewer (and STILL was polite about it).

That interviewer was the definition of insensitive. However, I also feel alongwith the interviewer we should also hold accountable the Editors who thought it's okay not to edit out someone being emotionally vulnerable; the Producers who approved the clip to be aired and of course, the Channel itself for monetising on it.
It was disappointing to see one human exploiting another's pain 😢

I remember watching Juhi Chawla's interview with Komal Nahta on Etc bollywood business where he asked her about her brother being in Coma. She started shredding ocean 🌊from her eyes and it went for more than a minute. The editor didn't even cut that moment and showed it completely. I clearly can recall her words, "Ye aap kaha chale gaye. "
And u know what was worst? The guy didn’t even show a shred of remorse, pity or even offered some tissue to wipe her tears. He just sat there with his stupid face poking n probing. My heart broke when I saw Juhi in that state on national TV. It was disgusting.
There is no one who shuts down rude reporters with as much wit as SRK.

I'll make it simple - an interviewer should be "an introvert" person who is a good listener 😊 A person like Prajakta and Karan are extroverts by nature hence they divert the topic and do not understand "the tone" of the celebrity 😂

If you are mentioning conducting interviews. One of the best example in Hollywood is bbc ALI PLUMB. That guy is just so much fun...just look at his interactions with celebs like. Tom cruise, Steven Spielberg, james Cameron. Even celebs feel so comfortable with him. We saw different fun loving sides of them. Even Graham Norton in terms of show hosting and Conor too ❤❤❤

Graham Norton is the most fun talk show host. Mickey Rourke complimented him in one episode telling him compared to American talk shows he enjoyed a lot.
I do tend to like interviews that are less like an interview and more like a get-together with friends. It can really help the host and guest be more comfortable and is overall more entertaining imo. That being said, any host should definitely be observant of whether or not the person they are interviewing appreciates the discussion they're having and be able to dial it down if needed.
You forgot Sunny Leone’s interview with Bhupinder Chaubey where he was constantly trying to belittle her.
I think Prajakta had pure intentions and wanted to compliment Parineeti but she kept on choosing wrong words one after the other so it came out very disrespectful. If I was Parineeti I don't think I would've handled it this well. Because despite the intentions, it was the way she said sounded like she was making fun of Parineeti's looks.

This was such good content! Interviews might have become friendly conversations over the years, but that doesn't mean u forget basic courtesy and respect. After all, the guest is in that position for some valid reason.

Recently saw a 2002 interview of Al Pacino in the David Letterman talk show. That was one sweet and endearing one with so much of laughter and fun moments. Both the interviewer and the studio audience were so warm and welcoming... And the legendary Al was so much at ease. Didn't want that interview to end❤
One of the best Interview s I've ever seen is Of Late Lata Mangeshkar ji , by a Pakistani Journalist . It was indeed one of the best . New gen people should take notes from them . Not to forget some excellent interviews by Simi Grewal during her show Rendezvous.....🎉
No one can beat Anupama and Diljit interviews. Beautifully conducted and feels like home. Idk Anupama with other celebs, but she and diljit shine together

I remembered watching an interview of Tabu and Rajeev Masand, where he asked Tabu about how she's still unmarried, similar to her character in "Kandukondain kandukondain", and Tabu was seemingly upset and on the verge of crying, but he kept asking questions with a mischievous grin. Surprisingly, none of the comments mentioned or showed concerned anywhere!
Prajakta has been given way more popularity thsn she deserves, i wonder how netfix production has allowed this to happen and not edited out . This is just disrespectful .
Very nicely done !!! Why Shahrukh is considered as an intelligent actor is very evident !! He did a timely witty reply !! And Aishwariya too to David Letterman. A nice observation. The issue is all these new-age influencers and there are quite a bunch of them now, try and interrupt guests to get their own sad stories and branding out. Sneha Menon Desai on FC is an exception, where she is exceptionally good at engaging with the guests. But so many of them are dancing with their guests, telling their own stories to garner mileage.

Jammy cooked! Cook em 😂😂😂. Honestly the examples you gave are accurate depictions of how one shouldn't conduct interveiws. I was frustrated too! It is so important to listen with genuine curiosity as Anumpama Chopra says than shove your opinions down someone.
I still remember that interview by some entitled host with Rana during bahubali. The entire time I could feel her looking down on the film as if it was some South film and they were doing it a favour by interviewing the actors. Rana's replies were so satisfying to watch. Of course you covered that in previous episodes.

Aishwariya is so witty, charming and strong. I like that she has always understood herself and this world around her and does not mollycoddle fools.
Once upon a time in Hollywood cast interview with Josh Horowitz was sooo much fun and genuine, the guy really loved the cinema and asked such fun questions about movies. That's my all time favourite

Mostlysane has always been like this. I remember watching her interview Hrithik in her pre Bollywood debut days, and she would not let the man speak! I think people like her and Beerbiceps like listening to their own voice, and don't care too much about what the other has to say.
Beerbiceps actually listens and he asks too many questions but he lets his guests speak.

Whereas podcasts like theories of everything is topic intensive and really fruitful to the listener. Beerbiceps goes for only the views.

One of the best interviewers I have seen online is the guy from Hot Ones. Every question the guy asks is so well put and researched, even the celebrities are pleasantly surprised by his intriguing questions

I'm not sure if you'll understand the reference but Marques is considered the best Tech Reviewer on the Planet and in my opinion you're the best movie reviewer/critic on the planet.
You as a person and your content is so straightforward, simple yet has the nuances and niche bases covered. Very professional yet not afraid to give their 2 cents and personal essence to anything that you do.

Jammy your interviews are great but here are some suggestions -
1. Start directly addressing a question more often instead repeating "one of the things I love"
2. Giving equal chance to all people is good but you can divide it in 3-2-2 - where lead actor gets more meaty questions
3. if the interview goes in other direction, break the circle of questioning & ask important questions that are left
4. if possible, introduce rapid fire related to their work (they love it)

I've watched Prajakta interviewing a few celebrities. She's so bad in interviewing them, She behaves like an old friend of that celebrity, and that's what messes up the whole interview. She interviewed Russell Peters, and it was so bad that Russell had no choice rather than laughing off with her absurd sense of humor.
In TRPs videos, it shows how much he researches the past videos and doesn't just stick to the popular interviews but the unpopular ones too...that's what makes it more interesting. The only channel where I watch the whole video mostly 😅
I feel that in this aspect i really like the interviewer of humans of Bombay. She asks primarily professional questions and even when she seems to ask a bit about personal life, it is only about experiences guests are comfortable talking about and something worth learning from too
