This season on Alone, participants will face the most punishing environment yet: The Arctic. Scattered around Canada’s Great Slave Lake-the deepest lake in North America-season 6’s survivalists will endure incredibly cold conditions and a whole slew of new dangerous wild life, like a thriving bear population, territorial moose, packs of wolves, muskox and the stealthy porcupine. No camera crew. No gimmicks. Last one standing wins.

ok.
HISTORY I'm watching "Alone" in Australia and it's very educational for anyone thinking of going into the wild....even for a day of hiking because you never know what can happen in nature.
#11 Don't lose your fire starter lol. Actually was routing for him.
Thanks me too!
I was too, cause I am live in Tennessee.
routing?
Finally, someone brings an auger. I'd thought someone would at least mod a multitool with one before
I was rolling with the hot tub, you have lots of fun bro. Would love to seen you go longer
Would like to know more about how much he looked for the fire starter. Used it at the boat.
Same here. He was just at the boat in that hot tub of his. And with his gear, he could’ve stayed warm even without a fire.
should've brought two fire starters 😂
@Bill Randall how about a firestarter and a bundle of matches then😏
One my favs. Started a gorgeous shelter.
When he turned the boat into a bath, I knew he was an idiot.
You are a doosh, what’s your point! Mr perfect 🤣
Win 1 for the Shawn's everywhere
I was impressed with Shawn. His one mistake was costly. I thought he had a good chance to win it all.
Was it a mistake or a calculated move to get in & out quickly? I tend to believe the latter. I’m sorry but with his loud bravado & actions, he displayed no survivor characteristics. I wasn’t impressed with the playing around in a trashed boat. Those actions were what I’d expect from a group of 13-14 kids, not someone who has presented & declared Himself as a ‘SURVIVOR’. The first sign of a problem, he cut & ran. That’s not the actions of a true Survivor.
@@misplacedsouthern1236 TY also lazy about buidin s*elter and unfocused
Should have brought eleven , apparently .
Remember, comfort level is different from ratting on sleeping bags.....
When the crew came to pick him up the cameraman made a shot at his pocket and something that looked like his ferro rod was sticking out. Did anyone else notice this? Could that have been his fire starter?
I saw that too! I actually thought.. hey, is that it in your pocket?
I checked and since it had a red and at the top I think it was probably his walkie talkie or whatever he used to communicate with the team to tap.
Should have left the auger...and brought 2 fire rods?
This guy was a real dummy
One of the dumbest I’ve seen in all 7 seasons.
@@samblack5313 MR PERFECT, craw into your townhouse and console your feefee
@@cyapeekn7125
Seems like you might be up in your feelings, Shawn.. 😃
I dont think have never seen an auger on anyone elses 10 item list. I can think of many ways to make a hole in wood.
Are any of them as fast and efficient though? I think he's using a lot of pegs and holes to construct things.
Man.. All these people are dressed so fancy. An Amazing Luxuries they bring with them. # 1 thing I'm not bringing with me is a Sleeping bag!! HAHA As a native Crawl under a spruce tree and theres your bed if your away from camp.
Genuine question, but you know it's the artic right?
In the summer, sure. In December in NWT you will be burning a lot of firewood to keep warm enough to sleep safely.
@Patrick Bateman 100 % YES!! Minus 64 is the coldest I've been in.
So yes. I actually have and Often do in a WIGWAM! and Sometimes if I need to Igloo.
Nothing keeps you warmer then Natural Fur skins.
I've been Native American All my life!! Brought up in the Traditional ways of my ancestors.
@@junbh2 You go out on the land more with some natives!! Igloo is warm AF.. at minus 64 and some natural Fur clothing.
Stay in town you towny.. in NWT.. I haven't been to NWT.. But live in Labrador just outside of Kuururjuaq National Park. Same Weather as NWT but Damp because we where along the Greenland Straights.
Would it have been so hard for the History Chanel to reach out to people for Alaska or Native American territory instead of the lower 48?
Would it have been hard for them to apply themselves?
Me : I'm bringing a sleeping bag, 22 rifle and 2k ammo..... Done
Out of all the series, how many were actually able to make use of their bow & arrows and kill something to eat?.. Or, make a gill net from paracord and catch fish... I'm guessing close to zero.
If they do work though sometimes they can _really_ work well. Definitely some luck involved in what kind of spot or animals you come across.
The people relying on fish seem to struggle just as bad. The winner of season 6 killed a moose with his bow. While everyone else was starving, his biggest problem was keeping 500 pounds of meat away from other animals. I'd rather be in his position lol.
@@dragonizzlenite Sure but what happens if a moose doesn't walk through your piece of land? You can't gamble everything on that.
@@junbh2
He tracked it, hunted it for weeks (from memory). Deserved to win.
Wrong. I watched, like, 3 seasons, and people shoot small game all the time. Gill net making is more rare but there was successful net makers
The 11th item is fat. Sam proved that, and people who don’t are at a significant disadvantage.
Don’t they do it on percentage body fat loss though?
This guy tapped out, right?
Yeah he lost the ferro rod he just showcased.. I thought he should have looked for it the next day but he quit..
@@polygonz3113 did he lose it on purpose?
@@polygonz3113 yeah thats just editing. He was at least 2 days after he lost it accordingvto one time line I saw yesterday.
@@chrispalffy3511 Where did you see that? I am skeptical because I can't imagine there wouldn't be footage of him going 2 days without a fire or of his attempts to make fire. They do give dates and times on video clips and it looked like the same day
@@soniadowney7427 I don't think he lost it on purpose. I guess no one knows but him but it didn't look like it.
We're they not allowed a tarp?
As soon as i saw him playing games with his stupid hottub i knew he was losing fast. Although he lost even faster then i thought lol
Does anyone knows the saw name?...
Needle
He should have brought matches and a lighter instead.
Maybe just a piece of string to tie his firestarter to his belt :). It sucks but I know for me I will use this as a lesson to tether things or otherwise think about how I can keep my most essential items safe when I'm in the woods. Might as well learn from someone else's experience.
He should have at least tried making a fire primitive style before tapping out. Lol
@@surfingtothestars
He just prioritised a bath.. he wanted to go home.
Why is it that no one uses belt pouches I would have my fixed blade knife my multitool my hatchet my firestarter ect all on my belt in zipped up pouches (no pouch for knife and ax but you get the idea) muck harder to lose something if you feel it on your belt.
@kevinhart46 Sounds good but your way also means if you accidently lose your shovel you have then lost ALL your equipment.
Cooking pot ...... make char cloth !!!!
He’s a quitter
Was this guy even in the season 7? I watched it twice and I didnt see him
Had a boat bath then went home.
@@samblack5313 wash your mouth, ya got a little something hanging
@@cyapeekn7125
Is that you, Shawn? 😂
All very logical a lot of these participants seems like they didn't really think things through very well were focused on the wrong priorities
@bali song pretty sure 10 days in the wilderness of Alaska is enough to kill anybody that doesn't have what it takes to hack it
@bali song 10 days would be a long time for most people.
@@danisyx5804 It's not Alaska, it's the Northwest Territories in Canada.
Priorities like a boat bath?
Worst pretend survivor ever! He gets my vote as the biggest loser and poser. What a proud moment for him, his family, friends and all those behind the show, ‘ALONE’. He looked like a fool and made the show look equally ridiculous. It all has definitely taken on a completely different feel & for me now. This wasn’t the first ‘missing episode of a mystery, missing ‘FERRO ROD’, nor was it the first early ‘TAP OUT’. Is this part of the entertainment value or did someone just allow this individual to slip through process? How many qualified applicants were turned away to make room for this guy? He basically stole an opportunity belonging to another who earned their way. He not only hurt himself and the show but what about that person who worked all their life to earn such an opportunity? A once in a lifetime chance to change their life, make it better, only to have a liar & manipulator steal what was rightfully theirs? This is shameful & disgraceful. There’s more than one person who deserved to be there. Their life and the lives of their family members could’ve been changed with just this one opportunity to have their chance, which they earned ONLY to have a thief & liar take it from them. Why did the ‘ALONE’ producers allow this to happen? Is there no sense of fair play or is it all about ratings & views. I suspect the latter to be true and the ultimate deciding factor. Disappointed by all. This is all about the Money. Thanks for the Clarification and Lesson About Life. How Proud Our Fore Fathers Would Be. As an American, I’m embarrassed & ashamed.
first
Second idk hahaha
he would lose his head if i wasn't bolted on , tapped out had to go back and ask his Mummy for a box of matches , Pathetic !
