Yes, with agriculture one with the most cultivable land became the most powerful. But 1600 years back Romans found those who own and control the idea of God, his chosen people, his last prophet, his book of God's message and thus created the first gang/legion called Christianity. The head of this gang called Pope was appointed by Roman king and ruling elite. In the design of this gang hate for others who were not members of this gang was built-in. Romans gave license to enslave, rob and kill others who are not gang members. Romans rewarded gang members plum postings of tax collection and in the Roman court. The Prophet (ﷺ) sent `Ali to Khalid to bring the Khumus (of the loot/booty) and I hated `Ali, and `ALI had taken a bath (AFTER A SEXUAL ACT WITH A SLAVE-GIRL from the Khumus.)
I said to Khalid, "Don't you see this (i.e. `Ali)?" When we reached the Prophet (ﷺ) I mentioned that to him.
