wanted to clarify I'm no longer at KLEC since I've finished the course already, just uploading this as a memory heh
BUT I still get a lot of questions about Sogang and I guess Korea in general, so feel free to leave me any questions in the comments, and I might try to visit Sogang when I can and do a Sogang related Q&A! :)
was it easy to make solid friendships with the other students in your classes? Also how did you make friends with students from other levels?

Hello, I am hoping to study at sogang next year but I am on the older side (I will be 39 when I go). Are there older students that attend as well?
hi! this is kind of a random question but I'll be attending sogang KLEC next month (in-person) and was wondering what in-class note-taking was like?
would I be allowed to take notes with an iPad or most people just used regular notebooks?

Hello! :) Basically everyone used regular notebooks when I attended! I might have seen one person use her laptop once or twice.. so I'm not sure to be honest, and it might differ from teacher to teacher!
I think if you ask on the first day of class and show that you're really just using the the notetaking feature, there shouldn't be an issue!

In classes for sure! Everyone is willing to hang out and are friendly with each other :) But my experience was from before online classes took place. It might be a bit harder to meet classmates and friends if it continues to be online classes..

Wait do you go to Columbia??? I’m getting my masters there but I’m also tryna go to KLEC to study Korean lol I already took 3 years at undergrad at UCLA but idk where I would place + I heard KLEC is now online bc of covid

Hm if you're still using Korean alot, or speaking it well, you might place pretty high~ 3 years is a lot wow, but yeah it's still online as far as I know :( might be better to come when it's back to normal classes, it's more fun!!

How long would the whole program be? Like how were u at korea for the program? I’m kinda confuse with their sessions duration
The entire program from level 1 to level 6 would take 1.5 years! Each level/session is basically a quarter of the year :) I started from level 2 so it took me 1 year and 3 months~

How much money do you need to save if you want to do the full year of the program?
Hello! Is there a limited period of semester that we are allowed to stay in the dorm as a language program student?
In KU, language program students can stay in the dorm for 1 semester only. So i was wandering if they have such rule in Sogang?
From what I heard, Sogang KLEC students weren't eligible for dorms (back when I went). I'm not too sure about now, so might have to contact them directly!
i think the only eligible students for dorms at sogang are the ones who applied for the summer special program!

Hello! The completion certificate is only available after finish level 6, that's when the completion/graduation ceremony is~
