From a current A3 8Y owner I think the best upgrade is the fact that they have made the cupholders adaptive again, which they should have left adaptive to beg in with. The rest is nice to have.
With the leds that are configurable, well either choose between 3 or 4 options, it would be great if they were truly configurable. There should be a menu on the screen where you can choose which lights you want illuminated as a custom pattern. That should be easy to do via software.
Good luck with getting it in May. I ordered my S3 in November due in late February. I asked there the f was my car and there is no date of delivery provided. What a joke of a company. How can you not have any rough date whatsoever :D

Coming from a 2023 A3 owner in the Canadian market the updated facelift is exactly what you described it: a light refresh. The only real difference I see is the new matrix LED ad-on which I also think 3 choices is too much to give the consumer. It is nice to have a matrix option but I would've stuck with matrix and the mid LED. In terms of interior cloth materials I'm guessing the Cad and American markets will be getting leather only as A3 is more in the premium price range here and we don't really get the choice of smaller hp or diesel variants. So if they basically stuck to leather then the only difference really is the headlights. I really do wish audi offered a more premium material in some of the plastic lower parts of doors and side walls of where the shifter area is. The whole interior feels very good quality except for that and the piano black. I think if they change that then the A3 is the perfect vehicle for that size segment.
Been a long time Audi fan, but everything new I hear or see from them makes me so glad I got my B9 S4 when I did. Apart from the RS6 I’ve not really like much they’ve done design wise find I got my car.

if they really needed to move the ring, they should have put them like on the latest TT, not halfway up, cause that feels like someone moved something by mistake in the cad, before saving and sending to the manufactoring.

I only see a new shifting lever (I don't like it that much) and the fabric insert on the dash (orrible) so no more LED running from left to right? I did a screenshot of the interior and compared it with my A3. Same lines, same buttons, same seats, same displays... Same doors. The Audio system is less premium on paper, but you never know if the badge really reflects the quality. It can be just marketing
Good review thx Thomas. What is don't like is the new interior feels somewhat "plasticky" compared to the pre-digital screen generation, especially the plastic "dicky switch" masquerading as a gearshift lever. My wife has a 2016 A3 with a proper S-Line gearshift made from milled alloy. The RS etron GT also has the same cheap looking plastic "dicky swtch" - it doesn't belong on such an expensive car. PS: that colour is not District Green, it's another green. I enjoy your reviews. 😊
I see on sline they got rid off the side sline badges the back red badge looks weird on a A3 I would remove that but interior lighting looks really good I wish they bought back the gear shifter from the 8V
I have a SQ2 at the moment and would definitely like the Allstreet in the uk as a replacement. The A4 Allroad was one of the best and most comfortable cars I’ve owned and the extra travel and more supple suspension would really work on the roads in the UK
I wonder if the rings are only mounted on the plastic grill, and just lay over the body... so it gets dirty under the rings easily? Or if they have glued that top part on hte body.. very wierd anyway, should have done like the TT instead if they really needed to move them.
Casual sporty Thomas 😎. Nice review dude! This new A3 design is an attractive evolution; I like the more aggressive bulbous fenders, even have them on base A3. Looking forward to the RS3 and would prefer the Sportback/hatchback for the US also. Really like this interior design, much better than the stuck-on big surfboard with all touchscreen. Hopefully something similar will come with the next gen B10 A5 series. Audi please keep the real buttons and switches..snick-snick!
A1 allstreet has almost 0 success. Let’s see in A3 version… Regarding the facelift, I can’t understand so many months of development with camouflaged cars to finally show this car with the same interior and only minimal changes outside. Really disappointed with Audi this time!
The facelist looks like the old one, but the front is a bit worse cause of the Audi rings being that far up. The Allstreet.. why? Just get a Q3 instead? THanks for the review anyway :) Would also love to see a base modell of the new A3, to see what is extras? If I remember correctly many things here is extra on the old A3 aswell, like adaptive cup holder, head up display and so on. I get irritated that some functions exists on my A3 but I have to pay extra to unluck the software (like adaptive cruisecontrol, if you do not pay, you only get a warning you are too close to the car infront.. which is based from the radar....)
That Allstreet would be perfect in PHEV form but as it's not coming to the UK, I guess I'll be looking at another option, maybe from another manufacturer?
Having a headache over A3 in hatch vs A4 sedan. With A4 goining out one could have similar a4 for just 3k Eur more. On the other hand I’m happy with my golf mk7,5 and with a3 I could configure it to my needs with no compromises. Anyone drove both and could share their view?
@@autogefuehl nah, that’s the trick that the old A4 is still available to buy out of available stock which makes the price attractive in comparison to A3.
@@autogefuehlAudi has introduced a 15 year maintenance plan in the country I live in, would you still feel it'll not be a great idea to own one long-term?
I saw press photos of a non s-line version of the facelift, and that looked very handsome indeed. At least on that one it's nice that they've reduced the size of the front grille area and removed the fake vent lines from above the grille. Unfortunately that same article mentioned that dual climate control and high beam assist will be subscriptions with the new A3.
Yep, mostly window dressing. B&O system in my 2023 RS3 is crap, so now they go even lower with Sonus. It's all about reducing manufacturing cost and then they'll up the price for us.
A3 is my absolute favorite VAG car for last few years. I would be a potential client for A3 Allstreet if it came with Quattro. By the carefully chosen naming, I guess there are no such plans however.
I'm a Skoda Octavia Mk4 owner and I can't help but notices some odd omissions. Like the lack of flock lined door bins and no sliding cover on the cupholders. Considering the hierarchy has generally been Octavia < Golf < A3, it's just odd. I also know these are small things but, the rest of the A3 is pretty similar to the Golf and Octavia.
I am watching from the UK and was disappointed to hear you say that the allstreet version will not be available here. In my opinion it’s a better looking car and I think would be more desirable in this country. Thanks for a great video comparison.
In skoda they call it bad roads pack. It increases the ground clearance and adds some protection underneath the car. I'd love this to be available in the standard a3. The city version looks bad. Focus active had better fenders with less angles thus seeming more elegant. I'd want to have the standard a3 design with the option to go with 3cm/5cm higher ground clearance.
I think Audi have missed a trick not having the Allstreet in the UK. This would be a good quality alternative to many baby SUV’s and works well with our smaller roads and parking spaces. It’s also unique as would be a competitive option vs BMW and Mercedes. It’s like the old Volvo V40 XC and I think would have been popular in the uk
Now that we have seen facelifts of A3, Octavia and Golf, they all seem to be very similar to each other. Would be interesting to have them compared as many buyers will probably see them as alternatives to choose from. And the fourth one of the pack is still missing. Where is Leon/Cupra Leon facelift review?
Audi should be offering the all street here in the UK, it looks really good! Unfortunately I hate SUV’s but like a hatchback with a bit of off road styling. I’m a current A3 8Y owner and won’t be getting a new one but if the all street was offered here I would buy it
I think the golf facelift went in the right direction and the audi facelift in the wrong direction + it feels cheaper than the galf inside and the door pockets don't have carpet in them.
I really like the A3 sportline in the District green - that colour is growing on me. I am not a fan of the silver trim on the Allstreet. Like the manual switches inside and the look of the seats.
Great review, thank you - Loyal Audi A3 fan and have had 3 - really disappointed that Audi aren't making the Allstreet for the UK because I would definitely get one - do you think this is something they will change their minds on?
Thanks for the quick review. Currently waiting for my A3. I was a bit hesitant to order it or to wait for the facelift but honestly speaking the pre-facelift looks much better and looks like that was a good choice. This weird new logo on the front along with the cheap looking grill and slightly different lights signature? Almost zero changes on the inside? Common Audi, even facelifted Golf has more changes with updated front and far better interior! Disappointing facelift.
For a basic A3 allstreet you can get a fully loaded xceed with more power, 7DSG, heated and ventilated seats, 7 years warranty, more boot space, sunroof, more gadgets for slighty less guality on the front and you ll have 3k to spare...just saying
There are not enough changes on this face-lift, but then again, why would Audi do more when they have an all electric replacement waiting in the wings to replace the A3,its no wonder Sales of the 8Y are nowhere near as much as the A3 8V
Was sagst du dazu? Viele Grüße Robert
Dear Thomas, great review as usual but would you fancy clarify me a thing if it doesn’t bother you? Why you cal synthetic materials leatherette that is actually plastic and in the meantime you call real leather animal skin? As I’m sure you already know Leather is a product derived from transformation processes of animal skins while synthetic materials are a derivative of plastic/ petroleum chemical transformations or recycling. That is a bit confusing for general viewers. It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos!
Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. I also bought cars with animal skin leather seats before I did my research and got to know the industry. The most important thing is: With today's modern materials, you have nothing to lose, just to gain. You achieve the same kind of luxury and comfort or even better while having the same or better durability with less impact on humans, animals and the environment. You can use fabric/cloth, microfibre or leatherette. The classic approach is using oil/plastic as source material. Overall, a vehicle contains about 300 kg plastic. A car seat needs about 5 kg plastic. So the overall plastic share for the seats is very low and it is at this moment the most efficient way to produce a car seat. A couple of litres of fuel equals a car seat basically. So if you want to save oil/plastic, rather look at consumption for energy, fuel and heating and to other car parts than the seat. Note that animal skin leather also always contains a plastic coating for durability. However, long-term we should of course find raw oil alternatives. So going further, seats can be made from recyclables (e.g. from PET-bottles or old fishing nets) or even increased share of plant-based materials (like pine oil, canola oil or start-up materials like Pinatex from pineapple leaves or Desertex from cactus fibre or the mixed-plant-based Mirum, so be seen at ruclips.net/video/S1aNZeoatmE/видео.html). On a calculation base, by ditching animal skin leather from car interiors, the amount of emissions (CO2e) is reduced by 85 (!) % (www.press.bmwgroup.com/africa-dom-easteurope/article/detail/T0403389EN/on-the-market-from-2023:-bmw-and-mini-models-with-vegan-interiors?language=en) - and that is a very conservative calculation. So it is at this moment the most important thing you can do to make car interiors more sustainable. A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ruclips.net/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/видео.html And the Kia EV9 with plant-based oil share: ruclips.net/video/6vXePQi_MAk/видео.html New leatherette materials can be superior in every aspect, even for cleaning: ruclips.net/video/u94YXJ72UTA/видео.html More and more natural materials are rising: ruclips.net/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/видео.html Also check out what the animal skin leather industry tried to with our channel: ruclips.net/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/видео.html For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ruclips.net/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/видео.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat is the "first" misuse case, the hide remains a profitable body part. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you demand it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and harms the environment, you make them more profitable. Alternatively, you could support industries with your wallet which try to improve the sustainability of materials. Also, if you turn the argument around to "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize that it doesn't make sense (and is ethically doubtful) to discuss the primary use of individual body parts of mammals. Mind experiment: You are getting slain down on the street; would it matter to you if it was for your smartphone or for your purse? Remember that animal skin leather is no different to fur, fur is just leather where the hair is still on. And fur is widely not accepted for clothing anymore, and of course not for cars. We cannot change what we have bought in the past, but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future. For a great insight into sustainability in the automotive industry, you can also check out our extensive documentary: ruclips.net/video/-8gNXlRGngA/видео.html
Later in the year, I wouldn't get too excited, changes will be very minor and based on what we see here, I think I'll be keeping my 2023 RS3 a bit longer.
3 months ago i was going to order the RS3 but the dealer told me to wait for the restyling thats why i am looking forward to seeing what it will looks like and i hope they will add at least some good new features@@mauricetoussaint7283

I wonder if the rings are only mounted on the plastic grill, and just lay over the body... so it gets dirty under the rings easily? Or if they have glued that top part on hte body.. very wierd anyway, should have done like the TT instead if they really needed to move them.
ugly design. looks like a very unpopular mustache
Come on Audi bring the Allstreet to the U.K. 😢 I would definitely like to try that here
The facelist looks like the old one, but the front is a bit worse cause of the Audi rings being that far up.
Great video! What about the RS3 facelift?
All Street not available in the U.K. is a crime! Would’ve preordered immediately…
That Allstreet would be perfect in PHEV form but as it's not coming to the UK, I guess I'll be looking at another option, maybe from another manufacturer?
Wish we got that All-street here in America, it'd be sick!
U mean the new one? ruclips.net/video/1YVXORirkrY/видео.html
@@autogefuehl nah, that’s the trick that the old A4 is still available to buy out of available stock which makes the price attractive in comparison to A3.
I see. I d lease a A4 caus Audi buy and keep aint a good idea: ruclips.net/video/NCWeljyA0X4/видео.htmlsi=WeSBiVop7chp_Oyp
As owner of A3 pre-facelift model, I would say there is no major differences or improvements.
Yep, mostly window dressing. B&O system in my 2023 RS3 is crap, so now they go even lower with Sonus. It's all about reducing manufacturing cost and then they'll up the price for us.
Awesome!! Will they come to the US?
A3 is my absolute favorite VAG car for last few years. I would be a potential client for A3 Allstreet if it came with Quattro. By the carefully chosen naming, I guess there are no such plans however.
The jacked up version is something interesting
Allstreet looks definitely better than the normal one.
What is the length of A3 all street 4.35? like the Sportback ?
same yes
I’m a current A3 8Y owner and won’t be getting a new one but if the all street was offered here I would buy it
Very nice this Allstreet !
did Audi achieve to solve the wireless carplay first?
Thanks Thomas. Is it possible to control the infotainment screen with the buttons on the steering wheel?
no. they only control the virtual cockpit.
I think the golf facelift went in the right direction and the audi facelift in the wrong direction + it feels cheaper than the galf inside and the door pockets don't have carpet in them.
Love the new Design !!!
Audi is Delivering a great package in relatively reasonable price !
Wish we had the A3 hatchback in the US again. Sedan only for us. 😢
Who was the genius who came up with piano black on the outside??😂
The bmw 1 series needs a refresh also to be compared to.
Please speak to the folks at Audi and ask them to send the AllStreet to Canada asap. Thanks!
Can't believe you didn't show off the upgraded interior ambient lighting!
No chance in 40 degrees sunlight 12 oclock noon in Oma
drove s line for a week 2022...was shocked by road noise level..is that area been improved?
Who noticed, how tall this man is compared with Audi A3 height😅😅. Overall, I love Audi. And A3 Allstreet has been awaited for a long long time.
I'm not so sure about that allstreet model, they complete that to much with the Q2 for example
Does anyone know, will there also be a facelift for the cupra / seat Leon ?
I really like the A3 sportline in the District green - that colour is growing on me. I am not a fan of the silver trim on the Allstreet.
Like the manual switches inside and the look of the seats.
Looking forward to the S3.
Great review, thank you - Loyal Audi A3 fan and have had 3 - really disappointed that Audi aren't making the Allstreet for the UK because I would definitely get one - do you think this is something they will change their minds on?
Thanks 🙏 no i think this is decided
I'll keep my 2021 model thanks.
Nice cars...great review! I wish they offered A3 hatchback in USA. Looks very good.
Is allstreet the new allroad?
Thanks for the quick review. Currently waiting for my A3. I was a bit hesitant to order it or to wait for the facelift but honestly speaking the pre-facelift looks much better and looks like that was a good choice. This weird new logo on the front along with the cheap looking grill and slightly different lights signature? Almost zero changes on the inside? Common Audi, even facelifted Golf has more changes with updated front and far better interior! Disappointing facelift.
What 👀, what a 😮, you guys come to Oman 😮, hope you guys enjoyed your time , welcome back anytime ❤
Does the A3 get the Digital Key standard from Android and iOS or are they still behind in tech?
For a basic A3 allstreet you can get a fully loaded xceed with more power, 7DSG, heated and ventilated seats, 7 years warranty, more boot space, sunroof, more gadgets for slighty less guality on the front and you ll have 3k to spare...just saying
Very nice video . The wheels of the allstreet are like the new Kia xceed
Better than the new golf
There are not enough changes on this face-lift, but then again, why would Audi do more when they have an all electric replacement waiting in the wings to replace the A3,its no wonder Sales of the 8Y are nowhere near as much as the A3 8V
Where are the tailpipes on this "sporty" car?
I agree with you, too many steps. Three trim levels for headlights are not necessary lol
Currently driving a skoda scala now thinking to upgrade to a3 at my 30s🤣
Audi Allstreet reminds me of Rover's Streetwise
I see Audi, I click.
From the VV group, still selling fog lights, new lights and screens, but mechanics from the 90s
Was sagst du dazu?
Viele Grüße
Robert
Ich denke es sieht billig aus.
Only sedan I want ❤
A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ruclips.net/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/видео.html
And the Kia EV9 with plant-based oil share: ruclips.net/video/6vXePQi_MAk/видео.html

For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ruclips.net/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/видео.html
Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally.

Hello Thomas! Do you know if it will be a 200 hp tdi versiona with quattro??
Me too but I think it's over. Too polluting?
when does the rs3 restyling will be annouce?
Later in the year, I wouldn't get too excited, changes will be very minor and based on what we see here, I think I'll be keeping my 2023 RS3 a bit longer.
3 months ago i was going to order the RS3 but the dealer told me to wait for the restyling thats why i am looking forward to seeing what it will looks like and i hope they will add at least some good new features@@mauricetoussaint7283
Bravo Thomas 👏
cheers m8 !
I'm glad I got the current gen A3... This looks more like a KIA Xceed than an A3..
