I've read both and I really loved Adam Bede. It stayed with me for a long time but for some reason, I can't remember the details of the story. But I can remember the details of Wives and Daughters. I wonder if it is that I have watched the video of this story. I do have the video of Adam Bede but have not watched it as much. I loved the religious element of the story, I just felt Wives and Daughters had more of an Austen feel.
