- Coss Marte took the long route to owning CONBODY, his “prison style fitness bootcamp”. At the age of 23, Marte was arrested for selling illegal drugs and sentenced to seven years in prison. In a recent interview with BarBend, Marte told us how his time behind bars lead to the creation of his company, why CONBODY can work for anyone, and how he is personally helping former inmates land jobs.

I was in Illinois Department of Corrections at 18. They placed me in Duquoin, Illinois and it was either I finish the 6 month of boot camp or I had to serve a 5 year sentence. I took the bootcamp and never quit. There were men all around me quitting and going to do their time but not me. The facility was called DQSIP it's right next to the state fairgrounds. It was one of the hardest things I had to do in my life but I did it. Great job on making it work for you.!
