Interesting you say that given that here in the US, we've grown to quite dislike older 50-seat regional jets like the ERJ-145 due to just how crazy common they are and how much of an inferior product they offer compared to other regionals like the E-Jet series, CRJ-550, etc.

I almost travel every Airlines of India (apart from Akasa and Star Air). I would surely come to Banglore for having such great experience. Once I got connecting flight from Bombay to Banglore to Delhi but I got very less time to explore around. Love ❤ from Chandigarh.
@@VTAAA next time I will book my flight from T2. And I was looking at Star Air Airline website but fare is high as compare to other LCC (when they offer Airbus, Boeing, ATR 72 etc aircrafts). But I think Embraer ERJ 145 is first and only Jet in the passenger category which is available in India. So for this reason I will try it once.
Beautiful terminal...so much greenery inside....they will need a huge team of gardeners to maintain it! The self check in looks like the ones at Amsterdam airport. I saw the T2 terminal still under construction of last phase, in November 2022....while on transit at BLR

They didnt develop much on Glb airport end. There are no taxi nor public transport available. A police man once dropped me on his bike till University gate, from where I was able to take autorikshaw.
@@VTAAA Srinivas saradgi is just 1.7Km away from Airport. So many local buses goes there but none come to airport for picking pax. Not everyone will have vehicles to pick and drop. Most of the pilgrims fly to Klbg to visit Ghanghapur, Sannati, KBN etc. Complete failure of local authority to arrange for transports.
Bangalore’s private places like this airport is nice but the city is in shambles due to very poor infrastructure and town planning due to corruption. To reach this airport it takes ages from city center .
@@VTAAA metro to the airport is common coming up at a rapid pace... You can already see the metro pillars being erected in sections of the way to airport from Hebbal flyover.. Probably the metro construction is going ahead of schedule and might open by end of '24

YES, as of now only two options are available, take a shuttle or by car.

200m aerial distance, but not walkable as of now may be in future.

The lounge we went is a temporary and it was free on 1st day. The 2nd lounge will start in 1-2 months when other airlines start their operation.

Yes, but its a regional airport, where 3-5 daily flights with 40 odd passengers on every flight, most pax friends and family pick and drop them.

Which airlines are going to be operating from this new terminal?
Star Air started it's operation from Jan 15th, Air Asia will be on 15th Feb and Vistara from March 1st.
Is it for International flights only?
Only domestic flights are currently in operation; international flights will begin in April.
In terminal 2 they are checking covid vaccination and rtpcr report now because my 1st flight is in March
