    You did it right. The video wasn't 240 fps after export. In this new videopad version I'm having trouble with the small amount of frames after slowing down. I recomend the videopad 4.56 because slow motion works without stopping frames after export

      If I change to that I will never get anything from the channel. RUclips is trying to shut down all these gun channels and anyone who goes against their views. Believe me, I've got several disagreements with the way RUclips manages their program and have even made videos complaining about it.
      But in the end, they own it and can dictate what gets posted on it. Others are trying to come up with a new RUclips like application that is completely open to all sides but are currently having to fight against the status quo.

    How do you make the slow motion more smooth not jumpy?

    • @HayesTech
      @HayesTech  3 года назад +1

      Don't slow the video down too much. I only did this to show how is done and slowed it down more than I should have. The rule of thumb is to never have the final video slowed down to less than 24fps. For example, if you are recording in 1080p 60fps never show it down more than %50. 60fps slowed by %50 will still give you a final video of about 30fps, which will result in a smooth video. If you are recording in 120fps or 240fps than you can slow it down %75 or even %85.
      Again, this was just showing the procedure and wasn't focused on showing a high quality video sample.

    Hey Dave, how about slipping in a couple of comments in your next video on setting the red sliding line to an exact location? 1) In the box labeled "Cursor:" you can type in the time line that you want it to jump to. This is handy for grabbing a clip of an exact length ... I find that on off-road videos, folks need about 8~10 seconds to understand what that portion of the trail looks like and not get bored. I will type in say 20 seconds, split, then type in 30 seconds, split, and then drag and drop the 10 second clip into the track I'm building. I'll build up 8~10 second clips into a short video to give them an understanding of what the total trail is like. 2) When you want to split the video at an exact frame you can use the button just to the left of the "Play (Space)" button to backup the video one frame at a time. That button is labeled "Previous Frame (Left)" ... duh! Look for it's counterpart labeled "Previous Frame (Right)" to step forward through the video clip.

    • @HayesTech
      @HayesTech  3 года назад

      I'm not 100% sure what you mean by sliding the red line. And the other stuff you wanted me to go over, I don't use it like that. I do things very simple. I do everything with the click of a mouse and don't use keyboard shortcuts either. So what I'm saying, I think, is I'm not 100% sure what you are asking me to demonstrate.
      I am sorry about that too.

      @tomclark2850 3 года назад +1

      @@HayesTech Thanks for the prompt reply. Your video above isn't the best video to use as an example ... I should have mentioned it several videos back. But, with that in mind, look at 15:28 in the above video ...where you're adjusting the "red line" to make a cut. 1) One can move that red line to an exact cut off point by typing in the time element in the "Cursor" box above it. I use that step to create the 8 to 10 second segments for building up a video. 2) Also, if you want to split a segment at an exact point, you can click on the "Play (Space)" buttons to jump fore and aft one frame at a time. None of these are keyboard shortcuts, they are simply a typed number (don't need all the numbers ... just type in 20 to jump to the 20 second spot) or a mouse click away. Try them a couple of times please ... see if you don't find them helpful. I'm a little old and shaky, so getting the red timeline just right can sometimes be a hassle.

      I understand now what you mean by "red line" now. Yes, you can type in the exact time for making more precise cute. But I don't use my keypad for anything but typing in comments. With my stroke brain, and the way it works now, I do everything with mouse clicks. Yes, your way would be the best way, but with my medical issue, my way works best for me. Well as for free music, I use RUclips Creator's free music library. Thousands of songs and music clips, plus sound effects, free to anyone with a RUclips channel.
      Stabilization is a tough one. I use stabilization built into my cameras. Also using a tripod, legs folded up, as a way to hold the camera for vlogging will help with stabilization too. And for a quality, cheap microphone, I always recommend the Sony lapel microphone from Amazon shopping ($20.00). To record the audio I use my Zoom H1n ($89.00). But you can also use your cellphone with a microphone. Anything is better than the audio coming straight out of the camera...lol.

      I've never used videos from San iPhone, so I'm not sure exactly. When you watch your video on your iPhone, is it in slow motion? If it is then maybe it's because of the rendered video in iPhone format. I can't say for sure. But all you have to do to slow it down again is change the clip speed while in NCH. I wish I could be of more help with this.

    I shoot 4k 25fps on osmo pocket 2, can I slow it down for slowmotion? On videopad?

    • @HayesTech
      @HayesTech  2 года назад +1

      Yes. But I'm not sure how good that video is going to look. When ever you want to slow down anything, for slow motion, you should be shooting in at least 60fps. I've slowed down 30fps by about 25% but that is as far as I am comfortable with 30fps. I've never tried 24fps. Maybe 10% to 15% slow down... And I'm just guessing at that.
      If you are video shooting and you think you may want to slow that down later, drop to 1080p 60fps at least and you will have spectacular slow motion footage once it's slowed down .
      It's crazy that the Osmo action camera doesn't have a 4k 60fps option for it's price. They do record great videos though. I use my XTU X1 for everything action like now. Unless I take my GoPro Hero 7 Black, which is my best action camera right now. But it's a $400.00 camera too and the XTU is $200.00.

      How much are you trying to slow it down by? I ve found that anything over about %60 gets messy on NCH with standard 1080p 120fps. I've since moved on to DaVinci Resolve because I finally purchased a laptop with the power to run it. A Gigabyte Aero 15 with Intel core i7 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060Ti and 16 Gb DDR5 RAM. It's got a 1Tb SSD too. I finally have a proper video editing machine.
      With that said, I've now noticed no issues with slowing videos down, as long as I stay within the respective parameters (ie shoot with 60fps slow by half, shoot with 120fps slow by 3/4 and so on).

    How to make a 2min video into a 20min video 🤣

      Well first off you need to record the video in a high frame rate. At least 60fps. But to stretch a 2 minute video out to 20 minutes, I would record at 120fps. Then just use the instructions I showed in this video. To make a 20 minute video out of a 2 minute video you will have to slow it down by about %75. And that's just a guess. But that should get you close and you can adjust from there
