As an South African Indian I feel so much pride. What modi govt has done in their 7 yrs or so, it nothing short of phenomenal. And remember they took over a dated state, corrupt govt who sold out to west and have to deal with numbers in population only one other country can attest to and that population is impoverished...people need to understand the issues that come with all of the above. Most govt can't deal with one of those and Modi has defeated it. Well done India. Cheers to becoming the greatest country on earth. You are already there in my mind from humility, to endearment, to humanity, godliness, just economically now.

What many people realise is that, the Center may set the budget and policy, it all boils down to execution and that is owned by the states. So look at your own states’ leadership and decide if you’ll see this development.
Things to appreciate about Mr. Gadkari is his equanimity, he’s clearly stating where he succeeded (technologies, innovation etc.) and where he couldn’t make much progress (road safety), knows his facts and on top of things, much to learn from such leadership 👏🏼
Not really, these are not state controlled projects with very limited state involvement....
All states can do is add to problems to such projects

Red light signal and signal counter are not visible behind when tall vehicles crossing at signal junction to less heighted vehicles .Hence signal counter height and signal height should be increased to view from long distance to small heighted vehicles.

what about the ports ? the bharatiya ports are over capacity used and thus there are delays in shipment and thus pushing back the exports. Is there any plans to increase the capacity of ports or building new ports ? what about Vizhinjam port which has been lingering for decades.
bro i am currently working as a shipping consultant in one of the big 4s. just wait... there is a massive transformation coming in the next few years by iwai (inland waterways authority of india). modi govt has budgeted massive crores for this purpose, and pvt sector companies are going mad competing with each other to get the projects.

Saying that roads/highways would be of american or european countries standard by 2024 is a major statement that seems not achievable because a lot of road works are delayed or pending in the country 🤔.

Debt is not that big of a deal, developed countries have it as well, only good economies get debt at low interest, that should be the priority.
Foreign debt should be there but not more than 20% of total debt

Railways fright project will take time so highways can generate income until then coz around 60% of goods are carried through the road plus it's a good contingency plan if a war breaks out and the enemy targets bridges which is difficult to make.

Right at the beginning this sold out anchor started by giving credit for 54 lakh km road to the minister. This was roads built by 2014 before this govt came to power.
Claim of 54000 km increase in National Highways. This is misleading. Of these 43000 km were existing state roads and highways.
Claim of 38.5 highway km built per day. These are lane km. If 4 lanes are built, they are counting each lane separately instead of together by the old formula.
Claims of NHAI having assets of 18 lakh crores need to verified separately. More importantly, how much is it being monetized?
Last- Claim of Indian roads being "USA standard" or even better by end of 2024. Forget about it, it's not happening. Who believes this nonsense?
