Yes, the UK is not a paradise; it has its own problems. But to say that the UK government is not doing well, we have the right to express our opinions and also the right to vote out the parties that are not performing well, none of which constitutes a crime. We all hope for a party that can solve existing or foreseeable problems.

There have been plenty of cases where police have visited people for making ‘offensive’ comments online, for which can be seen as an overstep against freedom of speech. Even journalists like Julian Assange has been arrested by U.K. police on behalf of Americans, which is completely against the values we stand for. Hence why I think the U.K. is gradually becoming the very thing it’s supposed to stand against.

About 20 years ago, someone we know decided to return to HK after living in here for 5 years, apparently that had always been their plans - they only wanted to get the passports and return to HK to earn "real money", that's why the wife would teach their kid all HK syllabus subjects, so when they returned, the kid would not be left out. They lived in a high-rise apartment building, on top of a train station and yet, they complained the area was too quiet 🤦🏽♀ While my husband and I decided to migrate, because we did not want our kids to face HK's infamous "stuffed duck" teaching standard. Keep up the good work and may God's wisdom be with the both of you ☺

你咁講，我又講個例子你聽。
朋友移民英國，香港係倉務員，冇咩錢帶過嚟，英文唔叻，嚟到英國都係做返倉務員。人工高過香港、工時短過香港，住屋平過香港、買餸平過香港。
生活質素，要夜生活多姿多彩、落街食碗粉方便，定要準時收工、大空間好空氣。無話一定邊邊好，好睇個人需要邊方面嘅質素。
我反而覺得基層人士來到英國大大提升，我朋友香港係做送貨，女既做文員，一家四口住三百呎都唔夠唐樓。英移後男既仍然係做送貨，女既係酒店做執房，下午三點放工，仲有時間接小朋友放學及煮飯。兩個移民前後收入其實差唔多，但而家一家四口租既係過千呎有前後花園既三房屋，女主人初次有三邊落床既房感動到流淚。
而家住左三年，兩公婆努力儲錢已計劃置業，小朋友讀書壓力少左開心左，一家人一齊既時間又多左，而且仲養多左隻貓咪。
佢地帶好少錢移民，英文又唔係好，學歷都唔係高，移民初期更因新環境既轉變及家事分配成日嘈交，但而一切安頓好，生活都唔錯。男主仲話雖然同樣係基層，但感覺英國做基層個人有尊嚴左。
