Can I beat PC's Pokémon Emerald Trashlocke using Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules?
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

Luvdisc are the playboys of the ocean. With how many pokemon they flirt with, I doubt he'd find any difficulty with a few rebounds or so.
I personally don't understand it.
I love how an opponent's Camerupt gets a long, emotional death scene, while Eggshell just gets a "Don't let the door hit you on the way out".

@@accentillia8116 When I was 12 years old, I did that ''pivoting strategy'' on Drake from the Elite 4 to lower a Pokemon's attack and I, by no means was an expert. I'm not arrogant. It's just something so obvious and easy to do. ''Oh, my pokemon can lower his attack? Let's keep switching him in and out.'' It's not rocket science LMAO.

The most shocking part of this run was Milotic surviving a +6 SE Shock Wave. Guess Milo is just THAT bulky

@@stellarknight04 you are correct, STAB psychic destroys without question. Ngl tho, a mon surviving a plus 6 attack with weakness, is kindof surprising. Would've been even more surprising if it lived a psychic since it was doing probably close to if not more than double damage as shock wave
@@raddaradda8682 the only thing i can think of is that the Milotic had a + Sp.Def nature and the Grumpig had bad Sp.Atk IVs despite its decent 90 Base Sp.Atk.

It doesn’t. There’s a skip in the video at 7:18, Togetic must’ve gotten sand attacked. Hustle doesn’t affect charm, or any special/status moves, even in Gen 3.

@@kevinkruse288 That's what I thought too, but according to Bulbapedia, none of May's Pokémon know any accuracy/evasion moves in the third Emerald rival battle. (Combusken only knows Sand Attack in the fourth and fifth battles.) So either Bulbapedia's wrong about Gen 3 Hustle, or Bulbapedia is wrong about the rival's moveset, or the ROMhack changed something, or a glitch occurred.

I've always had a soft spot for all these sort of forgotten Pokemon. In fact, Sandslash is my favorite gen 1 pokemon.
Man. Seeing Mightyena in this when I used it for my main team in my first play through- heartbreaking.
I’m using Mightyena in my Alpha Sapphire Nuzlocke, and she’s probably the strongest member of my team. The rest of my current team, by the way, consists of Linoone, Hariyama, Pelipper, Blaziken, and mother-freaking Latias. Whoever said Mightyena was “trash” is an absolute moron.

That Masquerain-Mawile Intimidate core against Altaria was beautiful. I'm impressed you managed to PP stall in a hack that limits your options so much. Altaria seems especially hard without Ice Beam TMs from the casino.

I will always love naming schemes for nuzlockes, but this one is probably one of my favorites. Gives them a real underdog-story feel.
The dual Attraction battle was truly one for the ages.
Suggestion: hardcore nuzlocke no dual types no type repeat (so if you choose snivy ,lilligant,cottonee and such cannot be caught even if they’re encounter number 1)
It might be an easier one because of type variety but once that mon is gone so is its type

The Electrode play is the best play ever! I love doing that in hardcore nuzlockes. It always takes care of half the team on its own and it’s faster than everything in the game. I’m so glad you did that play!

Hey, Flygon, I had an idea for a monotype challenge: An all-grass type team for a run-through of Johto. Because grass-types leave you at an automatic disadvantage against nearly everything simply because of type matchups, I feel like seeing how you work around the game, beating you down at every turn, would make good content.
Falkner, Bugsy, and Pryce all have type advantages over you, Jasmine’s and Clair’s specialties resist Grass, and Morty only uses the Ghastly line, so you’re going to be fighting a bunch of Poison types. There’s also the Indigo Plateau, which houses Will’s Jynx and Xatus, Koga, Karen’s Vielplume and Houndoom, and Lance’s Flying-type team. That’s ignoring the scores of Poison-types you’re bound to fight with Team Rocket and all the Rival Fights as well.

The reason why drake switched into flygon after the rock tomb is because of the switch AI. In emerald, if you just hit an ai with a non-resisted move and the ai outspeeds, the ai has a 50% chance of switching to a pokemon who resists or is immune to the move.

For anyone who wants the try this hack for themselves, I recommend the use of Cacturne as he’s one of the best offensive mons you get access to, as well as Glalie being your only real source for offensive Ice attacks

TBH dryano hacks are harder and takes more time than normal games. Maybe 2 or 3 parter series or somewhat
I would really like to see that, especially since in Drayano hacks, loads of similarly typed Pokemon are grouped up, which means a wider variety of pokemon, but less obtained Pokemon overall if he decided to go for a Monotype hardcore Nuzlocke.
