Hey Crew! 1) Bill’s E92 listing just went live here: carsandbids.com/auctions/9ngyJXnl/2012-bmw-m3-coupe-competition-package 2) Sorry that I kept saying S54 motor (which was the I-6 in the E36). It’s the S65 V8 in this E92!
Congrats! I have a 2013 Frozen white E92, the amount of thumbs up and compliments I get on the ride is nuts, and I live in an area where $150k cars are common. I got it for the engine and backseats but I have grown to LOVE it.
As someone who goes to Little T all the time and someone who also shares an E92 M3 with his GF, sucks I didn't get to see you driving by haha. Also crazy to see the comments, people calling this car trash seriously doesn't care about actual driving fun. Also I have a Datsun 280z I'd be willing to let you drive and review someday after I sort out some small things with it.
Yup it’s hard to beat. My only gripe with them is they’re prone to getting riced out due to how cheap they were for a while & they’re starting to feel pretty old. I had an S550 Mustang GT & currently an F82 M4, in terms of driving experience I’d take an e92 m3 manual or dct over both every day of the week.
@@landononeal8493 best car ive ever owned. value for dollar amazing. i got a really nice spec one with the perfect exhaust. already done a bunch of track days already and just takes it so well. seriously cant think of a better dollar value for engagement car and im only dct not even 6mt
2 things to make the car perfect, a CIC adaptor for native integration of the apply car play and android auto, and a gts remap of the gearbox. Then you get yourself a 2012 car that feels very modern yet raw. To make it even better add a GTS spoiler and you are good to go!
@@MilesPerHr ohhh man, you gotta get your hands on the GTS version of this. Its even better.... E92 M3 GTS, its about 150 in the world or around there..
A dual-clutch transmission (DCT) (sometimes referred to as a twin-clutch transmission) is a type of multi-speed vehicle transmission system, that uses two separate clutches for odd and even gear sets. The design is often similar to two separate manual transmissions with their respective clutches contained within one housing, and working as one unit. In car and truck applications, the DCT functions as an automatic transmission, requiring no driver input to change gears.
7:52 bro called the s65 a s54 lol. that title it perfect tho. this car is the perfect mix of modern and analog with the styling and dct yet still a modest size and weight along w hydraulic streering and imo the perfect amount of hp for a street car.
They actually weigh between 3600 - 3700 lbs. Also, the M3 in the video is clearly modified. Has an intake plenum for the extra sound that is coming into the cabin. Also, lowering springs or coilovers.
I feel the same. I have a Tesla model y and had a m3 long range as well but got bored of m3 long range and this is replaced with e92 m3 individual spec with same dct and edc and much more fun per mile
4:44 but you criticized the Mazda Cx-90 for preventing users from using the touch screen during the drive, am I wrong? (correct me if I'm wrong, I could be)
For the CX-90, the issue is the "selective" use of the touchscreen. If you're sticking with a physical controller, great, and if you're using a touchscreen, ok (if it's done intuitively), but when I can sometimes use a touchscreen (only with CarPlay/Auto), but sometimes can't, it can be confusing and frustrating for the user.
@@MilesPerHr Mazda is well known for this though. It’s not frustrating, it’s safer. They disable the touchscreen of their infotainment during the driving and make it available when stationary. There probably is a reason for CarPlay and Android Auto still working even when moving, but idk
I used to think this was my dream car, until I drove it around a canyon. The non-existent torque and slow transmission just make this car feel so aged compared to how well modern F and G series M cars drive.
Man I remember growing up hoping to one day afford a $60k car. Well now I can afford a $60k car now but it’s a M40 instead of an M. (The M40 is actually great no hate but still)
He's the same guy who bought my Blackwing. He just loves owning his dream cars, putting on real miles (he bought it with like 3K miles on it), and then moving on.
Don’t get this car in auto. I have a manual with the ess supercharger kit, perfect machine. Also this guy is great in terms of relating info, but this is a fantastic track car with 500hp and 350ftlbs is more than enough. Again don’t buy auto

S54 came in the E46 M3, the E36 M3 got the S50 (atleast here in europe) and S50 & S52 in NA. Great video anyways though!
How would you compare this car to the Lexus LC500 purely in the driving experience department?
Just picked up my E92 M3 last week. B3ST M3 3V3R!
Now this is one of Miles best picks 😂

We love it when you review some not so brand new cars keep it up
I'll try to keep integrating some older cars
These have the S65 V8. the S54 mentioned in the video is from the E46 M3
both weak engines who cares.

My dad owned one and it was a great car, the backseats are one of the only usable 2+2 car rear seats and it was overall just a great car.
with the prices of e92 m3's going up, i think this is the perfect example of an acquirable "sports car". BMW made these cars RIGHT!
Maybe the best BMW ever made. The owner has done an incredible job on this build.

ive been lucky to drive a good amount of cool/neat cars and the e9x m3 was HANDS DOWN the best driving experience a car has ever offered 😅

1st thing I looked at when he drove it was if oil temp was up to 90 deg c or so before he nailed the throttle…
That's one super clean E92 M3.
G8X for me all day. There's so much potential with the S58 with just bolt ons. One of the greatest straight six motors of it's day.
Such a great car

Have a E93 M3 Throttle Response in very cool. Pair this to the glorioua S65 V8 and 6 Speed.
The brofiber in the interior really ages this car more than i thought lol. But always good to see a classic still ripping ❤️
That’s why I chose the individual piano black option for my one as looks better and has a nice metal pinstripe instead
need an e60 m5 on the channel now!

No suspension modifications, according to the owner. Intake and exhaust, yes
yessssssss a real m3!
In my perspective, I think BMW needs to bring back the s54 engine into their cars and pair it up with a mild hybrid system as an option
