That's how awesome Jim Perry was. If you didn't know it was early in the series, run you would never know it. It's as if Jim did this game for 30 years. RIP Jim, gone but never forgotten.

Over in the UK we used to have this show but it was called Play Your Cards Right and Bruce Forsyth hosted it with his usual humour he'd have outside of the show, and they would make sure there was time for the Prize/Money Cards round at the end of each show. Each of the questions asked had the Bruce Forsyth humour dotted throughout (For example, "We asked 100 tattoo artists "If somebody came in asking for a tattoo of Bruce Forsyth, would you try to talk them out of it?" How many tattoo artists said they would?"). And of course, you don't get anything for a pair - not in this game. You can still see seasons ten through sixteen on Challenge TV to this day, although you do have to be lucky to catch it during the weekend.

At 4:08 I wish the Doubles Rule was in effect.....
The double push rule didn't happen until 1980.
The doubles push makes the Money Cards MUCH, MUCH easier.
Another rule that apparently wasn't in effect was the option to change the base card on each level.
The Bob Eubanks-Bill Rafferty version of the Money Cards on Card Sharks had way better gameplay.
Those doubles sting like a bee! 🐝
