I don't like having to keep 2 spots for KR and PR. 1 guy should be able to do both. 🤷🏻 Terrell Smith also looks good at Safety too. Versatility Poles and Flus talk about.
Coleman Shelton looks good, like he might stick w/Caleb good. Have to see how the season goes. Bama has the Top Center Rn. Protected Top 40 pick. We may look at that as a strength after this year tbh. Everything I take points away for w/Shelton is something that will improve playing with the OL more.
Bama's center isn't as good as Bryce Foster to me. Rankings this time of year have to be given with a grain of salt. If rankings don't adjust and you can steal Foster with that late round pick (or another center) or the third rounder... I'm all in favor of learning behind Shelton next year
Wheeler is a smart cheap move imo. You got this electric RB Returner. He can spend the year in the weight room, learning the system. He's still on the team. Smart move storing a player for next camp who could be really good. As short as he is, I was shocked at his inside run ability 😅 Now he will get a Nfl meal plan, training.
Y'all see Matt Pryor as Swing Tackle. I don't. I think 🤔 at some point they will put him back in at starting RG. You can only watch Caleb get hit so many times. So, hopefully Yiran is ready to play the Swing, if he is, hard to pay Borom 5mil. I like Borom as a Guard. Patriots are a perfect fit for Borom imo.
Question for you I thought players on the roster after the 1st game of the season that they were locked into their contract for the year is that different with injured players?
Only guarantee's are locked. Players can be cut at any time. There's a renegotiated amount that players receive while injured to ensure they aren't cut without being compensated.
@Beardownsports what I understood was that players under contract that aren't cut but are still on the roster after week 1 are fully guaranteed their contract for that year where as a player picked up after week 1 would be on a week to week basis not guaranteed the full season

Appears that way. There may be some teeth to it, it sounds like a couple places are reporting they will give a late round pick as long as he comes back healthy from the ankle, so you could see that trade still happen.
It sounds horrible, but most of those guys on the IR arent really "must have" talent. ian Wheeler has showed some promise, Jake Martin is a good backup. Id be alright with them cutting most if not all of them now that we have the roster to actually do that.

A big part of that is because contracts expire. That's normal. It looks bigger than it actually will be. But next year is actually huge!

Forgot about jettisoning domique Robinson but that's really one DE than the team needs.
This year you could renegotiate w/guys like Sweat, Edmunds who got their 💰💰💰 last year. Create space. Next year, man, they could clear alot of $$$.

He's actually big! He's a great sized NFL back with very low tread on the tires. Super sad he tore his ACL, but good we keep him
